Having friends over for poker -- plan to work my way up the ladder. Benchmark 8 to start? Then perhaps some BT and ETL. Likely to end the eve on Blanton's again, perhaps some ER 17 as well.

Tonight will be all Buffalo Trace.

Likewise. Sippin' some BT while watching 3:10 to Yuma with the wife and kids. Saturday evenings could be much worse.

I have been enjoying the EWSB 2001. It is my favorite go-to bourbon, right now.

Last night it was FR SmB 2010 LE, while enjoying an interlude of sunshine and talking with the neighbors.

We had a "finish off the almost empty" tasting at a friends house last night. Everyone brought at least 2-3 bottles. Let's see if I can remember:

FR1B

Kentucky Vintage

MM 46

WTRR

OGD 114

KCSBR

Hancock

WTAS

I think that's the list that I helped kill off. The choices were quite varied.

I had some friends over yesterday afternoon/evening for a game of risk and bourbon drnking. The game lasted 6 hours and so we did a lot of sipping. We went through in order 1971 Old Fitz Prime 86.8, 1980's IW Harper 86, Whistlepig Rye, OGD 114, Party Source's Willett 6 YO, R&E Willett 6 YO, 2010 WLW, and capped off the evening with some 2010 GTS. Not a bad one in the bunch

A little Weller 12 tonight.

I just finished a bottle of Lot B about a week ago. While I think Lot B is better than Weller 12 (but not by much), I think Weller 12 is one of the best value bourbons period along with Four Roses Single Barrel. I guess that's why the local establishment that I frequent here sold out of the Weller 12 in one day. I was in the store to buy some homebrew stuff, saw the Weller and bought one bottle. The next day all of it was gone. It almost went as fast as the Pappy and BTAC. I really wish I would have bought another bottle or two. People are bourbon crazy here in Lexington...

Started off with EWSB 2001. It was not hitting the spot. Put it up and pulled out some 4 Roses Small Batch. It's what I needed.

Pappy van Winkle's Family Reserve, 23 Years old. If you've served in our covert services or in the United States military, I drink to you tonight. Thank you.

killed a barreled 1991 EC18 and now working on barreled 1989 EC18. thinking Oscar's challenge of 4R mariage is a good idea, if I can walk to the cabinet to get it.
