Ian S.
How do you feel about that bourbon? I bought a bottle lately based on the recommendation of a couple people but have yet to crack it open. I have since heard varying opinionsLet's crack a bottle open and compare notes. I'll crack mine on my next pour.
smokinjoe
I had to abandon my run this afternoon, when I tweaked my left achilles. It's been giving me problems for several years, now. So, I'll begin the healing therapy with a nice, neat, pour of VOB BIB. I'll save the ice for my leg...

jcg9779
ORVW 10/90. I don't pour this one often because I typically go with the 10/107, but this is a very good pour. Not quite as assertive, and perfect for those contemplative nights or for when I still want a great pour but want to be able to drink for a while and watch the Mavericks game.
jcg9779
I got a little frustrated at work so I busted out the ORVW10/90This stuff is pretty good but I wish I could have landed the 107...ORVW 10/107 :grin:You just had to :skep:I couldn't help myself... :slappin:I actually posted what I was drinking before I read these other posts. There's nothing wrong with the ORVW 10/90!

I enjoy the both of them. I just know how much Winston wants a damn bottle of the 10/107. So, I had to give him hell.
ACDetroit
Just sat down from going all day, to cap the evening off I grabbed a pour of some mid 80's WT lore series 8yr old (neat). Old Turkey is tough to beat!

DeanSheen
Finished off the last pour from a Weller 12.Followed it up with a OWA nas. The OWA is better tonight. This last batch of Weller 12 I got hasn't really opened up real well where this OWA is tasty, but a bit on the minty side. It has a spearmint lifesaver type finish with a mildly sharp bite. I know, it dosen't make sense unless you chew the lifesaver.

cigarnv
How do you feel about that bourbon? I bought a bottle lately based on the recommendation of a couple people but have yet to crack it open. I have since heard varying opinionsI like WTAS and have bunkered a few I have found for $69 or less. It is IMO different enough from the WT lineup to make it a worth while addition. Big, rich spice notes followed by vanilla and caramel in a well balanced package. Very nice complexity with under control wood make it a very approachable sipper. I think the WT AS is a bit of a sleeper.... one of those "I should have bought more of that when I could have" whiskey's.

I keep seeing a bottle or two around town, usually for $75-90. I guess I'll have to open mine soon and see if it's worth buying more.

Parkersback
Someone on the board-Callmeox, maybe?-talked about mingling OGD & Weller 12. I took that idea and ran with it. I poured a finger of ND OGD BIB, then added a splash of Weller 12, then added a splash of WLW 2010. Simply wonderful.

I don't do a lot of vatting at home, but I probably should try it more with all of the bottles I have open. I'm working my way through a sample of 2007 OFBB that I found in the back of the cabinet recently. I never seem to be able to warm up to the OFBB and this one is no different.
