Tonight was a small pour of 86OF BIB..... Mixing whiskey and the positioning of Maggies's to get the perfect sound stage was not meant to be...:banghead:

Just cracked open my first Handy rye... and my mind is blown. This stuff is absolutely amazing. So rich and candy like with spicy and earth tones abound. Fantastic.

I'm not sure what year it is, it's the 126.9 proof. I'd assume it's the 2010 since I just bought it last month

Enjoyed a couple of pours of ORVW 107 followed by OWA. It's a wheated heaven night to counter the sorrow of the end of vacation.

Magnepan's, eh? What are you using to drive them?

Started with Buffalo Trace and am finishing up with Bernheim. Am finding the Berheim to have a much more bitter finish than I recall when I first opened it, and the bitterness seems to be lingering, too. Hmm... haven't decided whether I like that or not.

A couple of great pours of ND OGD 86, then High West Rendezvous, then a celebratory pour of ETL after the Mavericks beat the Thunder. Finished off the evening with a pour of Fighting Cock.

Started off with some WTRB. Pretty darn tasty. I seem to be a little hot and cold with this one. Finished up night with just a little Bookers. This one I'm always hot for

Last evening was a few barreled Manhattans followed by some 4R's small batch...

Opened up the Angel's Envy that was delivered today. Very enjoyable. Quite sweet on entry & you can really notice the Port finish on the end. I agree with many on the board who say they would live to see a little higher proof, but all in all a winner for sure.

Starting off with a pour of ND OGD 86 from 1985...not sure where I'll go next...it could be a couple pour night! Hopefully the Bulls can extend the series with the Heat. ;)

I am tasting my four circa-1990 bonded 200 ml Dants, well, four and a half, which I poured into an empty fifth to make a normal-size pour. Only after I did this did I realise it isn't bonded anymore. :) But it's good, really.

Jeff 18 Batch 27. And yeah, it's damn good. Due to the price, I'm supplementing with AAA 10yr.

Templeton Rye, batch 4, barrel 137. When I first opened it, I didn't think too highly of it and figured it was going to be my first and last bottle. I'm drinking it tonight, and for some reason, am really enjoying the minty-ness & herbal-ness. I may find a few more bottles.

Enjoying a pour of EWSB 96 to celebrate my acceptance into nursing school! This one is better than when opened. It initially had a very woody character that has become more nutty. Very good stuff!

Wild Turkey American Spirit.

Can't say I'll be buying this again. It doesn't satisfy my palate. Not enough richness or character. Over woody. Glad I got a discount on this bottle.

Congrats!

Just finished a big pour of 2010 PHC to celebrate the in-laws leaving after a week-long visit.

Yup, it is as great as I remembered.

Still, my fav are the old bottles of Eagle Rare 101 10yr.
