hectic1
WT101 after a long day with my 3 small children(all under 5). Looking forward to getting back to work so I can rest. Come on man...I've got 3 kids all under 4 that are 19 months apart and it's easy! Now you know why I travel for a living! I'm gonna pour some Bowman 18yr TPS #1 cut to 107 tonight.

smokinjoe
I've had this a couple of times, but am now revisiting an IW Harper 86 proof 150 month from a 4/5 qt decanter. This puppy spent a few decades in a ceramic decanter, and if it had any effect, it was for the positive, let me tell ya. A lot of Goetzes Caramel Cream going on. The heft of a much higher proof bourbon. Wonderfully viscous, and results in a thick, and slow moving coating on the glass. A really fine whiskey. Parkersback
I've got a fair bit of ND OGD on hand, and I'm finding I really like marrying a bottle of 86 and BIB. So I had a glass of that, and then a small pour of Black Bush. That's some good Irish there.
SMOWK
Having a pour from a bottle of 2010 LotB that I have found to be sub-par for the label. Not very interesting at all.I've moved on to a 2007 Weller 12 and it is MUCH better.
BFerguson
Finishing off a store bottling of EWSB 11. Been under the weather for the last two weeks, and taste and smell are finally coming back around. Tasting good tonight.B

STLbourbon
Lately, past few weeks, I guess it's been Old Grand Dad 114 and BIB that seem to just continue to deliver for me. Such a distinct and enjoyable flavor and heat. I'm still a big fan of 4-Roses Single Barrel. That's a perpetual favorite around here. This week I really enjoyed my first bottle of Johnny Drum Private Stock that suddenly appeared on the local shelf. And also tried Bulleit Rye for the first time. Very sippable. Here's my bigger list of what I've been enjoying this fall, and in current order of most preferred first:OGD 1144 Roses Single BarrelOGD BIBJohnny Drum Private StockOld Weller Antique 107Weller 12 yearBulleit RyeBlack Maple Hill small batchEC12STLb

smokinjoe
November is a great time for Turkey, so a pour of WTRR 101 is fitting the bill nicely. A whiskey that will surely warm yer gizzards...
Josh
Can't say I was really enjoying it, but I just finished off my last ever bottle of Benchmark. Not going down that road again.:skep:

clingman71
Strange, I'm into my last bottle of lot B, purchased in fall '09 I believe, maybe spring '10 and it is fantastic. My last two bottles of 10/107 have also been fantastic, but my last few OWA have been sort of every other one is excellent. I need to compare a newer Weller 12 to the lotB. StraightNoChaser
Goody Goody has Bulleit for $17.99. I should have bought three. Seeing as the sale lasts through thanksgiving, and I'm 3 good pours deep into one already, that will likely happen...
Josh
But now you can say that you have been down that road, and you're a better man for it. I felt the same way with current Rebel Yell.Haven't had Rebel Yell in a long time, but I would rate Rebel Reserve higher than Benchmark. Hard to believe this is the same recipe as George T. Stagg. Like you said, I hope I'm a better man for it, although I doubt it.

bad_scientist
My conference ended this afternoon, so I'm relaxing with some '82 OF BIB. Chocolate and some spice... I prefer the modern wheaters, to be honest, at least the great ones like WLW and PHC 2010. Maybe even OWA 107 when my palate is just right. You're comparing a $10 bottle to $70-$80 bottles at barrel strength and it's a surprise that you prefer the later?:slappin: Please leave those on the shelf and I'll be in D.C soon enough to pick them up! I always felt like I belonged in an earlier time I grouped them together because they're all relatively difficult to find, price aside. I don't think about price as much, though lord knows I should.
