To my amazement, I found two bottles of Four Roses Mariage 2008 on the shelf. I thought about it for a minute, and then decided to get them both. For $66/bottle I couldn't turn it down.

I have only had the 2010 LE Small Batch out of all Four Roses special releases, but my first pour out of that bottle was one of the best pours I have ever had. I am really looking forward to trying the 2008 and hopefully I can get a 2011 before they are gone.

Well, Party Source was a bust Sat. I thought I had a line on a Pappy 15 at another KY retailer, some mix up happened though and I was denied. But, I did get two bottles of the VW Rye. I am not the biggest fan of straight ryes, but this was the best I've had. Not sure what I'll do with the second bottle though. As I stated in another thread, shocked to see lotB at the same price as the 15, insane. But now the good news, miraculously to those of us in the Buckeye state, VW quietly entered Ohio last week. After all the calls and emails all over northern KY, Indy, and Chicago, I found a bottle of PVW15 ten minutes from home. As far as I can tell, it was only the 15, and extremely limited, even by Van Winkle standards.

While visiting the family in Oklahoma, I picked up a bottle of EC12 ($17) and Bookers ($35). It amazes me how much EC12 and Bookers along with all other bourbon prices have jump in TN over the last couple of years, but not so much in OK!

I picked up a bottle of Elijah Craig 12 year. I've had the 18 year, and enjoyed it, so I'm expecting to enjoy it. No PVW in DC yet, but its arrival is apparently imminent.

Got lucky and picked up another Ohio allocation of Pappy15. This November I'm thankful for the new distribution to the Buckeye State!

Ive got 3 of the PHC in bunker but really debating on those JR one's. The shoppers vineyard one's right? They don't ship to AL but shipping them to one of my best friends.

Bought a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 15. Big assist to clingman71 for sending me a tip on where to find a bottle. Looking forward to popping it open and seeing what all the fuss is about.

You won't be disappointed! Can't wait to get my big order in to re-stock the bunker thanks to giving a lot of mine away to all my groomsman.

Today I ordered two of the shoppers vineyard four roses jim rutledge limited edition single barrels. Hope they are worth it!

I would recommend you pay attention to how it tastes the first day you open it, and a month down the road, as it will improve.

Just got my Christmas shopping out of the way, ordered from a mix of US stores to be shipped to my freight forwarder to be consolidated with the final destination Downunder (Australia) which will hopefully arrive before Christmas

Some of these bottles we just can't get without ordering from the states directly or paying 3-10x what it sells in the USA. Even with considering freight and taxes, still cheaper to bulk order and consolidating a shipment from the US:

Well, here's my purchase:

1x Parker's Heritage Collection Golden Anniversary

1x Parker's Heritage Collection Kentucky Straight 10 year old

1x Parker's Heritage Collection Bourbon 27 Yr.

1x Parker's Heritage Collection Bourbon Cognac Barrel Finish

1x PARKER'S 10YR WHEATED BOURBON

1x WILD TURKEY AMERICAN SPIRIT 15y

1x WILD TURKEY KENTUCKY SPIRIT

1x WILD TURKEY TRADITION 14YR

1x WILD TURKEY RUSSELL'S RESERVE RYE 90 PROOF 750ML

1x Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Maple Wood Finish

1x WOODFORD RESERVE MASTER'S COLLECTION SEASONED OAK FINISH

1x Jefferson's Presidential Select 18 Years Old

1x R1 92 PROOF

2x Devil's Cut by Jim Beam

1x Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve

1x FOUR ROSES SINGLE BARREL 100 PROOF 750ML

1x BERNHEIM SMALL BATCH 90 PROOF 750ML (not a bourbon I know, but wanted to try it.)

1x PAPPY VAN WINKLE 20YR 90.4 PROOF 750ML

2x GEORGE T. STAGG 141.4 PROOF 750ML (what a pain to get shipped, got to go under my freight forwarders HAZMAT license)

2x William Larue Weller 2011

1x THOMAS H. HANDY STRAIGHT RYE 129 PROOF 750ML

1x Eagle Rare 17 years

1x Sazerac Rye 18 Years

1x TAYLOR, E.H. SOUR MASH BOND

This should stock up my bar nicely, however my pockets are now empty and I don't think there will be any major purchases for a while... lol

Nice, Uni. Now, that's steppin' up. The case discount is typically 10%. What's the containerload discount? :D

I picked up a box "The Original Small Batch" 50ml's today.

I saw these last week at a local store for $19.99, they came in a nice paper and plastic disply box.

But I passed because I was going to KY the following weekend.

As it turned out I passed on them in KY because they were 3 bucks higher so I got them today here in the Mitten.

A nice way to revisit the best of Beam without forking over the cash for 750ml bottles.

These will be enough to remind me.

Those are excellent choices. Even the low budget ones like devil's cut are great picks because they show exploration of flavors. You definitely did some research and picked a good smorgasbord. I can tell you've been around a while.

If I ordered a haul like that I would have to build an addition to my house to hold it. :slappin:
