I gotta say my favorite bottle lately has been the 2011 4R LE offering from Julio's. This is one fits my profile perfectly and has quickly besome one of my favorites. I wished I opened it earlier so I could go back and pick up another bottle or two.

Great juice from a Great Distillery:yum: :yum:

Figured that bottle of MM46 needed more than one pours worth of space to breathe, so I am going with that again before socking it away for a spell.

French Oak Aged BTEC. A delicious combination of leather, brown Necco Wafers, and Goetze's Caramel Cream's. The nose is rather odd, though....

EH Taylor Single Barrel, EH Taylor Sour Mash, and now a dusty JW Dant. The Dant holds up to the previous two amazingly!

On a brisk evening like tonight, with a light snow falling, it just feels like a night for the Weller Antique or perhaps a Knob Creek. Can't decide. May have to consider a short pour of both.

A store bottling of EC 18. Wood, is present, but in a good way. A little sweetness, but not much.

Like most bottles, it may be a little early to get the full picture. But I think from initial results I would buy another.

I just had a pour from my living bottle and so far I'm not thrilled with the current version...it' needs something but I'm not sure what. I guess I'll have to keep adding to it until I get it to where I like it...it's a tough job but someones gotta do it. ;)

I'm following that up with a pour of some barrel proof EC18 that I was able to get...amazing how good this stuff is at BP. It's really a shame what watering this stuff down to 90pr does...shame on you HH! :hot:

Just had my first taste of PVW23. Very good, very smooth, but my palate has been distorted by my affinity for barrel strength bourbons. All bourbons should be sold at barrel proof in my opinion.

I did the unthinkable and poured the last ounce or so from a PHC 10 into a glass with an ounce or so of 2009 WLW, then added a few drops of spring water.

It's pretty good.

It actually probably made that 09 WLW better...that stuff is too hot IMO!

There is nothing wrong with that thought Tony...I have thought the same thing except 105-110 was my proof point. That is the exact reason that I've never pulled the trigger on a Pappy 23...:(

I am not saying that I don't add a little water every once in a while, but I do prefer being able to dictate what proof I decide to intake my bourbon at. :(:D

A ditto of last night, Col E H Taylor tornado & TPS AAA. I'm enjoying the tornado bottle much more tonight, and the AAA is such a steal. It has become my go to daily pour ryed bourbon to my SB blend as my go to wheater.

Not a big fan at all of young whiskies, however a local retailer knows what I like and what I don't like and he said "Chuck, you've got to try this"!

At $15, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Forget the price, this is a very very good whisky.

This will be a bourbon that I be happy to spread the word on to my bourbon enthusiast buddies.
