While browsing a store with prices higher than Ebay (PVW 20 @ $225, GTS & WLW @ $150) seen a VWFRR mixed in with the Lot B's all @ $65. First one I've seen so bought it quietly and left. The owner chased me down in the parking lot saying he had it priced wrong because he just seen it was going for $125+ on Ebay so he wanted more for it and I knew I was taking advantage of him, I said see ya and left.

Had some time to kill after work before v day dinner and grabbed last bottle of Kentucky Vintage. Only 3rd bottle I have seen in north Cobb and only one from '11 bottling. Are these common in other places.

At McScrooge's in Knoxville, TN today and decided to go with the Angel's Envy ($45.00) over the Elijah Craig ($50.00). After tasting it for the first time I must say I'm impressed. Light and smooth.......great neat with no burn.

I'm not 100% sure I like it better than EG, but I'm glad I gave it a try and will likely buy it again.

Two nights in a row for DSP-KY-16 scores. 6 of these were dusty liquor store finds; 1 was not. Can you guess which? ;)

Was this store on Orchard Lake road?

There's a jackass store owner on Orchard Lake near Pontiac Trail. He told me he thought it was good for store to charge way more than the state price because of eBay.

Nice find. I run into something occasionally. Was that in a store on the south side of I-94?

Just bought a bottle of E.H. Taylor Sour Mash. I have read good things here about it. Waiting for the Tornado version to show up in Texas.

I grabbed 3 more Thomas Handy to put in the bunker for $55/each tonight before the sale ended at midnight. I don't usually stock up on Handy but I figured I probably won't ever see that price again.

Don't blame you on that note. I got my eye on a couple of the '07 bottles in an obscure location still @ $63...just waiting on building up very depleted funds. There will come a day when we won't see any BTACs under $80 I am afraid as the premium labels become more scarce which = mo money.

I agree on the price increases we will see. Generally speaking, there wasn't a price increase for the 2011 BTACs in my area. That leads me to believe we will see one this year. Most everywhere else in town has/had the Handy (and other BTACS) between $69-$79. I do know of a Handy on a shelf at $99. I'm really surprised at how many of the stores around have already sold out their Handy. You used to could find up to 3 or 4 different vintages around at any given time. Not anymore. It's not sold out yet but there is a lot less of it out there in the middle of February than in years past.

That's a great price -- I would have loaded up as well. I'm seeing/paying $70-80/btl out here and they are not common at all.

A Valentine's gift of Black Maple Hill s/b 14 from my girlfriend with an apology that it wasn't PVW. I think I've found a keeper!
