Found this tucked away in a locked case in the corner of a shop covered in dust. I never even saw it, the gf pointed it out to me knowing i like the pappy stuffs and she had never seen one of these. I think there was a whopping 45 seconds from the time I saw it until the time i paid for it. I still get butterflies thinking i finally got one, and at MSRP.

I happened to come across Knob Creek single barrel 120 proof for $33. Usually it's about $10 more. It should be interesting. Also picked up a Sazerac Rye. That one has not been too easy to find lately. The clerk told me they get two a week, and usually "a guy comes". I guess I was luckey.

Which Greenwood are you from. I think each state has one.

While browsing a store with prices higher than Ebay (PVW 20 @ $225, GTS & WLW @ $150) seen a VWFRR mixed in with the Lot B's all @ $65. First one I've seen so bought it quietly and left. The owner chased me down in the parking lot saying he had it priced wrong because he just seen it was going for $125+ on Ebay so he wanted more for it and I knew I was taking advantage of him, I said see ya and left.

I don't think you were really taking advantage if him. That price is fair. He may have wanted eBay prices but ten he should have it on eBay. That is a fair price in most stores.

What a jackass. For the record the state price for VWFRR in MI is $59.95. I'd happily pay $65 for it though.

I knew that the state price was in the $50's, so it's not like it was a major miss price. I knew I was paying more than state minimum, but the only Van Winkles I've got at minimum were Lot B's and 23 years, the rest have all had a similar $5 mark up except one 15 year I paid way more.
