went down to southern Illinois near St. Louis for a big volleyball tourney for my son and brought an unopened Pappy 20. Thought there'd be more guys to help, but one other guy and I over 2 nights demolished it. He had never had it and wanted to mix it with 7up, but once he tried it over 1 small ice cube, he was hooked.

Next big tourney in Milwaukee won't see another 20, but will bring Lot B and Pappy 15 along with Stagg and a 4 Roses; hope to have more drinkers.

Weller 12 hit the bin tonight. If i'm lucky, i can convince the misses to let me bring some back from IL on the return back to MN.

I figure a little infusion of shopping money for vacation is worth something!

I recently came to the end of this bottle. It was really good and blew the doors off the current Weller 12. I'm sad its gone and that it can't be replaced but I am very thankful I got to enjoy it.

That is sad. Who was that bottled for?

It's been hard to find in Chicago lately. Almost all the Binny's locations are out, and a couple employees told me they don't expect to get it in again for a while.
Haven't seen any up here in northern Illinois in a while. Good Luck. Let us know if you find any.

Gentleman I will do my best. But now I'm bummed about the slim prospects. Last one I pulled was from the Naperville Binny's, I think Clingman was going to be there also this week?? Maybe we can get advanced scouting report or two??

If I do run across any, i may be lucky to get it back anyway, the misses is starting to make "the face" when she takes a gander at the bunker. I think we all know what that face is.

Weller 12? The Binny's by me always has it in stock. Just bought one last weekend. I know we're not supposed to post locations for BTAC and Pappy, but does that apply here too? Seems kind of silly, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Offsite is the way to go here. I keep my wine in a temperature controlled locker and the bourbon boxed, stacked and stashed away at work, all in an effort to keep the house stocked juuuuuust right.

Just emptied the last of my 200ml of Old Forester BIB DSP-414. I really need to go make an offer on the cache I found. I need to empty my cache of DSP-414 OF 86 too.

My last AAA 10yo just passed away minutes ago...a prize from my last foray into the Bluegrass State in '09:cry:

Anybody tried the TPS private bottle of same? I am considering immediate replacement and rebirth.

It's fine, but I prefer the standard issue.

I will attempt to get this one right. I got it from someone who used to be on this site so wasn't involved in any of it firsthand. Here goes:

Charles Miller of the Louisville zoo purchased the barrel from BT. He was involved with numerous charities involving animals and used these bottles as fundraisers to support the groups he was involved with. It was distilled on the 2nd to last day of operations 6/29/92 and was bottled at 14 years in 2006 at 90pf.

Yes he has some special bottles, Mr. Miller that is...very nice person too. Still a member but doesn't post much.

Just finished emptying a bottle of 2011 Stagg. As much as I complained about not liking it as much as 2009 or 2010, that last pour was nothing short of phenomenal. Previously, I had not shaken the bottle up much and there was so much charcoal...just awesome. If they let me bottle this myself, I would be chiseling out the inside of the barrel.

I have a bottle of Lagavulin 16 that needs some attention next - another great Winter pour.

I just finished my bottle of Angel's Envy. It was quite enjoyable. Luckily it should be coming to Michigan very soon!

There used to be kids coming by every couple months or so for a "bottle drive" returning them for deposit and supporting different causes (boyscouts, sports teams, etc) Problem is nobody has come by in 6 months...and wife says "you drank all these!"

I finished off a bottle of EC 12 a few mintues ago. This is a milestone for me, because it is the first bottle of bourbon I purchased after visiting the trail in June of 2010 *when my bourbon habit started). My collection quickly went from 3 bottles to 30, so this one had been ignored for a while. I received another bottle for Christmas, so this long-lost friend won't be forgotten or missed for long. Cheers!

I have a short attention span....I open a new bottle and forget about all the half full open bottles. One of the days I'll take care of them...as soon as I run out of new bottles to open.

Drained an ND OGD 86 last night. I have a couple in the bunker, but I think I need to grab more.
