I found a PH 10, 27 and Cask at two different Liquid towns in Corpus yesterday. I really enjoyed the Cognac finish i found last year and will have the complete series when the Golden Anniversary arrives (bought online). Will have to clear shelf space on the bar to display all 5.

Opened the 27 last night. Really liked it. Need to set up a flight to taste all 5 together after I get home from the beach.

Scored two bottles if vintage 21 rye today!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for those?

Just bought a W.L. Weller Special Reserve and Ridgemont Reserve 1792. This is the first time I have tried either and I'm pretty excited. I almost bought a Four Roses small batch. Wish I had, I have never had that either. I'm real new to Bourbon, sure is fun getting new ones to try!

I bought an ETL last week to keep at the office. It's been years since I tasted this; it was one of the first bourbons I tackled when I started getting a feel for the stuff. I had a small pour last week and found it very enjoyable: sweet but not too sweet, with some nice charred cinnamon notes. I think it'll turn out to be a great office bottle!

2x Four Roses Mariage 2009

I found a bottle of this today and took a leap of faith. Everyone here seems to love it so I figured I bite. Set me back about $84 after taxes, but it's the only time I've seen it in GA.

Vintage Rye 21 yo.

Glad to see that bottle go from the "pass" to "purchase" thread. However, when you taste it you will be sorry.....that you don't have more. Enjoy!

I want one!!!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

I had it. It was good but came out ahead of its time. It was off balance for a FR product with too much anise. It would have done better if it were released this year or last. If I saw another bottle I would grab it.

Today I did see some FR Private select barrel strength single barrel, so I grabbed it and a bottle of whistlepig.

As a warning to the new guys, buying bourbon may be habit forming. You probably already have drinking under control since you are sophisticated enough to read these forums, but buying bourbon is highly addictive. Know your limits.

WHERE, is all I can say.

I see the 2008 Mariage and last years LE around here, but never the 09.

Back on track, I didn't buy anything today. :)

FedEx dropped these off yesterday. Thanks to a tip from a member, I bought them at a good price.

Picked up 2 2009 Mariage's (for friends), a Bowman Small Batch (for friend), and RHF, OGD 114 (dang I go through these quickly!!), and a McScrooge's Private Barrel selection of OWA. As the McScrooge's selections are typically superb, I am looking forward to opening it tonight...this afternoon...:D

Very nice pickups, Joe! I do like those McScrooge's picks that I've been fortunate to try at your house.
