jwacky
Had some Larceny for the first time last night. Seemed smooth and sweet. Tried a small bit of it again this afternoon and it wasn't as sweet as I'd recalled. Also didn't really let it sit, and it was just a truly small sip out of a shot glass, so... Yeah. More tonight! WAINWRIGHT
Last night fishnbowljoe, Wainwright and their wives were over for dinner. Joe brought Weller Centennial and ER101, Ryan some 2012 FR SmB LE (the darkside was visited as well, Balvenie Portwood 21yr, Old Pulteney 21 and Lag 16. Joe even like the Balvenie and OP ). All excellent pours. Thanks guys!Had to throw in the WLW '12 too, what a line up last night and a fantastic dinner as well.A great finish to a rather hectic day with the family, too bad we didn't get to enjoy our cigars as the weather didn't really cooperate, but there is always next time! Edited January 13, 2013 by WAINWRIGHT Still learning proper use of the English language
smokinjoe
Nice and warm 70ish degree day here, and I've been enjoying it since early this morning, as I put the pork butt on the smoker at 8:30 am. Highlight of the day has been the private barrel selection of the 8 yr. Bowman. Deliciously drinkable whiskey. Man, we've felt lucky to be hovering around freezing and have yet to have an extended cold spell in the teens this winter.

JPBoston
Having some OGD 86 (wife got me a sample size among several other mini's for xmas). I've had a 750ml bottle of this or two way back when I first got into bourbon about 2 yrs ago... and somewhat surprisingly, I believe having now sampled a decent amount of OGD114, I'm finding more to like about the 86. It's as if I can now taste the more subtle flavors in the watered down version, now that I've had what it 'should' be.... if that makes any sense at all.*To clarify, I don't mean that I think the 86 is better than 114 or BiB. Just that I'm enjoying 86 more than I used to.
