I think it's good just like the other.

First pour was wow, this is very good and more balance actually. But found it not as chewy and finish was shorter though.

I think subconsciously I told and did add a tiny splash of water that I don't normally beyond the melted ice. So I think I just need to adjust back to my water percentage.

Really like it and continue to appreciate this fantastic and ongoing (hopefully continue) offering.

Will have more later and daily. :)

Well done Hugh! Fighting the good fight, obliterating these ECBPs!

They just landed in the smaller stores in Bay Area. One place wanted $99 for it and had to pass. Called my go to shop and they have a bottle on hold for me. May have to drive to their other store to pick up a extra one

Been sitting on the shelves for weeks now (134.8 I think)

Strange, Johnny the Pac NW is to ECBP as TX is to Weller.

Ahem . . . Paging The Black Tot . . .

I've already had the calculator out on the mileage to the pac NW :) I'm going to check with my bourbon guy first to see if he's come through though!

SOON, garbanzobean...SOON

  • 4 weeks later...

Left about 10 of these (batch 6) on the shelf today in the Baltimore area for $39.99. The same place also had HWMWND for $64.99. PM me if you are interested.

Wow! What fantastic pricing. They wouldn't stay on the shelves here more than a day at that. If they have them at all.

Yea they normally don't land on the shelf here either. I was very surprised to see them - especially at that price. Figured I would spread the word here with the hopes of helping a member or two out.

I was starting to get the impression that supply had caught up to demand on this one. The last batch release all the retailers near me got a bunch and it lasted a good while. Guess that's not true everywhere.

Have tried all but the latest 140+.

1 was the best overall. The 137 proof (2) was the hottest most unbalanced. The rest, to me, are just variations on a (very good and reasonably priced) theme. Hard to differentiate. But I would be willing to bet there was older distillate than the stated 12 in the first batch.

You may be right Eric. I don't know what was different in that first batch, but it was really something. I wish HH would repeat whatever they did with that first release.

I haven't had all of them yet (only #1 & #3) - #1 was better but the difference in quality was minimal... Just curious how #'s 4-6 stacked up.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Johnny, I have #3 and #5 and find them to be very similar. Any differences are minor.

Retailers don't even put ECBP on the shelves here...
