You should talk to 393foureyedfox about his quest for ECBP.

I see a couple of his posts in this thread about trying to find batch 2 and such...sounds like it's a hard find around here! I'll have to ask him about it. The dstillery must know it's value, too, because it's $75 in the gift shop. I've heard it as low as $39 out of state (that's not confirmed, just what someone told me).

I tried it several times at bars, but this is the first time I've seen a bottle for sale here. I almost felt like I had to buy it out of principal!

ECBP is $39.99 in WI. I've bought 6 bottles of different batches at that price.

I hate to say I should start LEAVING kentucky in order to buy bourbon made in this city, but that's starting to seem like the smart play!

I've only seen one bottle on the shelf in Indianapolis and it was around $70.

MSRP is ~$40. I've only seen it on shelves here once and it was $38. Bought some from the GS and it was $54 (for batch 3 retail bottles.)

I'd love to try ECPB, but I can't stomach $100.

That's pretty funny. I pestered then living **** out of the people at the Evan Williams experience for weeks...everyone who worked there had a different opinion of when they'd be getting a shipment.

Hmmm. At 134.8, batch #5 must be rolling out. The first sighting I've read about Radar up. Thx.

There positively is no "really bad batch". GBS did a blind vertical, and found them very similar...as in, similarly delicious. The opinions on the board since each of the releases has been overwhelmingly positive for each. Some may have a favorite, but it is a favorite among greats.

Good to hear man, then I won't worry if I see more from a different lot/batch I can risk the cash on it

Quite true. Several tasters in my circle have reported same. Surfs up!

Not so sure that helps your argument. What the hell do those guys know about bourbon? :skep:

I hear the goat has a keen palate.

Quite.

But the GBS is all "scotchy, scotch, scotch" now. I don't even know who they are anymore.

True enough. We're actually the scotch experts on the board, now... As I recall that vertical now, 2 of us were more knowledgable than the rest of you heathens... ;)

Some Hoosiers you know have sampled 1-4 and of those only the 137 stood out as a bit hot neat. But nothing a bit of water or a cube can't fix. The rest are really nice and the 137 is easily brought into the sweet spot.

Has anyone seen Batch 4 around Atlanta yet? I see people in other states already talking about Batch 5.

There was a brief period when a few bottles showed up recently and it was initially thought to be Batch 4 but it turned out to be leftover Batch 3. Don't think Batch 4 ever got here.

John, I saw what Bruce did. I picked up a bottle a month or so ago, thinking it would be a 4, and it was a 3.
