I picked up a bottle of Stagg Jr. Was a bit surprised to see it on the shelf in my local store. I'm fighting a summer cold so no tasting notes yet.

Picked up a WLW Antique to do a little blending with at 12 year. Also grabbed a Dickel 9 yr single barrel selected by the store. Came highly recommended. Not usually a dickel fan, but figured this was worth the try.

Picked up a handle of Larceny before the rebates expire on Monday (not that I'm short on Larceny, but hell - that makes it virtually half off!) Looked, but found no ECBP

Grabbed these today, thanks to a members tip on the ER17. The Benchmark, bakers, and CC Sherry Cask finish were all in another store I stopped by.

ER17 - 2012

Benchmark - I dont know much about it, Ive seen them posted here before, this one was bottled in New Orleans

Bakers - Batch B-85-001

CC SHerry - Blended whiskey, aged atleast 8 years, never seen one before, batch S6-001

Left an older EC12 behind, label I have never see, because it was missing a few ounces, looked like it was stored on its side for a while, the plastic seal had brown residue in it.

Those Baker's are good. I don't know how to date them accurately though. They were using that batch number at least until 1996.

Just showing my inexperience again. I assumed it was 2013 because of the 13 on the bottom of the bottle. Please tell what I really have here other than what is going to be very enjoyable pour.

Thanks. Well at least I'm having a lot of fun learning what should be very evident. I also need to be a little more conservitive with my posts after I've had several pours

Damn straight, I was about to grab my keys and fuel up for a tour de Smb till I realized that it was either a misprint of SB (nothing wrong with that) or, well I was just hoping it was a misprint. That said, if this was your first Smb, what do you think?

Weller 12 and OWA...going to try this vatting I keep reading about. 50/50. I have tried these before by themselves and love the 12. I might get blasted on here for saying this because it seems like OWA has quite a following but I was not too fond of it the first time around. It seemed really floral to me. We'll see though. Might do a blind tasting with the 12, OWA and the vatting
