What are the specs on that one, Dan?

OBSV, 10yr 8month 123.6 proof. They also had a 12yr OESV (around 115 proof), but I liked the OBSV better.

Decided to give Old Heaven Hill 8 year a try today at $10.99. I don't understand the MN and RI only distribution strategy, but hey, I'll take it.

Just got the FR Secretariat. A friend picked this up for me, can't wait to crack it open this weekend.

ECBP (137). Always chat up your whiskey monger. This one wasn't even on the shelf yet and he didn't know much about it, but when I asked if he had anything new or interesting he pulled this out of a box.

Scored my first dusty today! OWA 7year. Very excited about it.

Congrats! I found a few of those when I first started hunting and took it for granted. Then I learned how much it fit my profile for a great wheater. And of course I cannot find any more. Open that bad boy up and enjoy it.

Oh SNAP! This just got serious! Hell, Kev could probably rent a look-a-like if he flipped those 6 ECBPs

Yeeeeeeah. "Rent" a "look-a-like", that's the ticket. Hey everybody, Kevin's "renting" the "look-a-likes" this year!

I'll probably just stick to visiting the "look-a-like" bar at the local college town.

Boom goes the dynamite! What a haul! I've still never seen a FRSmBLE 2012 at retail, or had a taste, though I've longingly held a friend's unopened bottle. I'd love to find one of those in the wild! Well done!

It's damn close to my favorite of all time. This gets me 7 with the seal and one I opened with the managers of that very store to toast the haul. Combined with the 2 I've finished and I feel pretty good about how I will have made out with one of the finest bourbons I've ever had the pleasure.

Yeah it's pretty damn good. Mariage 2009 edges it out but not by much. You did the right thing.

I wondered who cleaned out that row of FRSmBLE (if it is the same place I am thinking of). I almost bought some yesterday, but for the price. However, I went ahead and reduced the number of ECBP.

Guilty as charged. I'd feel bad about it...if I did. :slappin:

They must have had 12 of the ECBP yesterday, and as overpriced as everything they have tends to be they keep the price of the special edition stuff as low as anywhere.

Picked up a store selection of a local store's single barrel selection of Old Forester. They claim its the first one released by Old Forester in their "single barrel" program. Either way, it's definitely the first one I've ever seen in GA.

Found another store with a stash of ECBP. It doesn't seem to be selling that quickly in Northern Virginia. Also picked up some Henry McKenna BIB and Dickel.
