Makers at the hotel after a 15 hour day at the restaurant. A welcome reprieve with a simple bourbon. A bourbon so simple that if it came in old rip 10/90 bottles they'd be getting flipped for 100 credits online

Cosign that Eric. Looks like a mighty fine dent has been made in the FR 125th. Can't blame you in that either as it is easily my current favorite pour.

While out and about last evening I wandered into a nice whiskey bar and selected WT RB, ETL and ended with a RHF. It was all I could do to get up and walk away. It was a night off and I wasn't driving. I surprised myself.

I'm having a healthy pour of HH 6 yr BIB today, in honor of, and to the memory of Harry Shapira.

Wow, I was just thinking about having a taste of HH 6 Yr myself. I think your pour is a nice and fitting suggestion!

Benn working on a bottle of 4RSmb for the last three nihgts. If I could only buy one brand I guess it would have to be 4R but I'm glad I don't have to worry about that.

Going to keep it Heaven Hill tonight, in memory of Harry Shapira. Following Joe's lead, I'm starting with the HH 6yr BIB.

2013 Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition, neat.

I love it!!

Here's what it says on the back of the bottle.

With the ongoing celebration of our 125th Anniversary this year, our Master Distiller describes this release as “what could be the best Bourbon we’ve ever put in a bottle.†This year’s Barrel Strength Limited Edition Small Batch, created from 3 of our 10 distinct Bourbon recipes, welcomes you to the party with generous creamy vanilla, light oak and cherry cordial aromas. Bright splashes of raspberry and apricot greet the palate, giving way to subtle tones of nutmeg and cocoa. Then mellow flavors of cherry and vanilla bean define the long, luxurious finish in such a way to make you wish you could toast our 125th every year for the next 125 or more. Cheers.

I agree 100%. They really did describe it acuratly.

Have at it...I brought it hoping someone might like it more than I did but then I forgot to spread the word.

Thanks. Doug! That "someone" is obviously, me! I find all that "funkiness" going on in it, to hit me just right. You want the empty?
