Some extraordinarily kind soul sent me a 2oz pour of 2008 William LaRue Weller. I guess I get what the hullabaloo is about.

Honestly this might be the best bourbon I've tried. Layers of gooey caramel and honey. Drinks amazingly at full-proof. I'm floored.

my 2nd pour of Lot B. Unfortunately the first pour is on the carpet by my bed--knocked off right after I put it down. It smells pretty good.

No laser code on the bottle, so I'm assuming it's pretty old.

next up: Black Maple Hill no age red label

Larceny for me...Loooooove IT! :yum:

so if given the choice of just one, would you take Larceny or HH 6 BIB? I know you love both

Last night was "Scotch Social" night. The featured scotch was Talisker Storm -- very good, spicy, a little smoky (and not peaty), very pleasant.

I brought EWSB vintage 2003 and 4R1BLE 2013, both of which were well received. I'm lobbying to get the name changed to "Whiskey Social", but change is difficult.

Tonight, I'm watching the Red Sox and Tigers put on quite a show. In my glass, the last pour from a bottle of OGD114, served with a cube. There's another bottle of 114 in basement storage if required. What a game -- what a whiskey!!

some Ritt BIB, the BF distilled one. about half the bottle is gone from trying a shot once or twice a week, and its still not something im developing a taste for.

for those of you whove had the new HH distilled Ritt BIB, does it taste at all different?

Everyone must be on the wagon.

The last post here was 57 minutes past midnight.

OK, I'll kick it off here at 19 hours and 39 minutes past midnight.

2013 Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition, neat.

(on a Friday no less, y'all should be ashamed.)

Killing a bottle of suspect OWA.

It does seem like to many of them OWA's are suspect.

If BT would double the age they could quadruple the price.

Well this is a different kind of suspect. I started a thread called “Proof Test Question". If you don't mind check it out and see if you have any thoughts on the subject. I'm very curious.

OGD114 in the hotel room. Gonna need a few more drops to get through the WVU game tomorrow.

I'm a Hokie and my wife is a Mountaineer, so going to Morgantown for a WVU game is good for the marriage, but bad for my sanity.

Josh, my wife and I share a college so I can't feel your pain, but you are displaying the two most important words of blissful matrimony. "Yes D...." I mean "Bourbon Neat"

Started with a little OGD114 myself. Added in a little Ritt BIB (2:1) for my own version of Forgiven. Following up with a pour of HH 6 Year BIB. I hope everyone enjoys their pours tonight!

Some JPS 18 batch #26 and WLWeller 12y. As much as I like wooded old bourbon, I have to say that Weller 12 has more flavor. That's the way it is some times. And earlier I had some OC 8y at a sporting clay shoot. Bourbon and guns.......can't go wrong.
