DrBob
Decided to follow the OGD 114 with a little 4RSB, both good pours!
RVTsteve
Tried starting with a pour of Jefferson's very old very small batch that I got at costco, but it was so thin and all I could taste was corn and yeast I had to pour it out. Now I have to figure out if I'm going to vat it or just take it to Thanksgiving for friends to pour with soda.Instead I'm having a healthy pour of GTS'11. Everything the earlier pour wasn't. Rich, deep, tannic, oily, burny, pow.

qman22
Tried a batting of OGD 114 and Beam Signature 12 yr. The idea was better in theory than in practice...
TunnelTiger
Started the evening by killing off a bottle of JP Wiser rye, opened and had a few pours of PHC7, and then a nitecap of 4RSmb.

DrBob
I have had a bottle of this for at least 6 months and occasionally given it a try. Suddenly last night my palate and the bottle collided and made wonderful music. I don't know if it was the effect of oxidation on the half empty bottle, the impact of it following OGD 114, or if my taste buds were just in the right mood. Either way it went from just enjoyable to exceptional at least for the one evening...i never could. i gave it to a friend who likes it instead

squire
That's happened to me as well. Years ago a friend of mine only drank Dickel 12 and would share it with me. I thought it was good but never really liked it until one day it just clicked.
LCWoody
Since this is page 114..... I'll have some OGD 114. Seems like a good enough reason.
SBOmarc
I marked the temp finally going sub 32 and opened an OGD 114. Page number be damned! It was just time for something hot. Still one of the value buys in these parts.

mosugoji64
Guess I'm going to continue the OGD114 love around here. It was the"Olds" thread that sparked my craving.
bingstein
Some TPS selected OWA single barrel. They did a really good job with this bottle IMO. Almost indistinguishable from my paper label OWA I picked up 8 months or so ago.

bingstein
Is this a "very" recent release, Binger? If so, it's great news, and bucks the trend of reviews of the most recent releases. Know the age, BTW? Fingers crossed that this is a 6 yr recent release...

BillP
we had an inadvertent German night tonight. We invited over a group of friends for a pork roast, sauerkraut, mashed potato and cornbread dinner....one of them brought a german wine, and one brought a 6 pack of german beer.now that the dishwasher is full and im relaxing, some OGD 114. may polish off the last 1/2 pour of KCSB after that.i know I'm late on this post but this sounds really good! I really miss my Mom's German cooking. I guess I'll have to just join you with an OGD 114.
