A small pour from a freshly opened ND OGD 114, really good stuff too bad it is like finding Big Foot in the wild

And this is cause to take a detour from my Scotch run to pour one as well...

I live in the land of the Sasquatch and I think I've seen him before spotting an ND OGD114 in the wild!

I'll join the OGD 114 party to finish the night.

Earlier small pours of Blanton's, Fitz BIB, Old Scout 7 year TPS, and Taylor 86.

Some mighty fine sipping

How was the cork on yours? I had to replace mine with one from a modern empty. I think I still have cork floaties in the bottle.

You can see the remnants to the right of the bottle.. Worst cork extraction to date.. Though I did get to measure the contents in my HUGE graduated cylinder not a terrible fill at 725 mls

Enjoyed small pours of JPS18 batch 14 and FRLESB 2012 tonight. Both great, but man I love the Four Roses. It drinks beautifully neat at 114.4 proof.

Went to an Irish pub and had myself a couple of pints of Guinness. Then had my first pour of 4RSmB with my fish and chips. The rye spice stands up nicely to the malt vinegar. Finished off the night with a pour of Ritt BIB. Also stood up well to the lingering malt vinegar taste.

I try to keep a case of it around at all times.

I haven't seen it in the Indy area for several months. Hopefully, a new release will come out soon. The question is where it will be priced.

Tonight, ETL, a selection from the San Francisco Wine Trading Company that I picked up back in August.

This past Monday night I went to a tasting with local bourbon geeks. We opened a bottle of pre-pro bourbon - distilled in 1917, bottled in 1932. Very unique. No heat. Fantastic nose. A real treat.

I had some 1991 Old Fitz. My favorite of the night. I love the SW wheaters. Butterscotch, creamy, smooth - delicious.

I tasted 2013 GTS. The lower proof this year works. It's drinkable at barrel proof. Great stuff. I have 2 bottles waiting for me elsewhere - I can't wait to pick them up.

I tasted 2013 FR LE SmB. I wasn't blown away. I am not saying it is not worth the accolades it is getting, but I will have to come back to this one. Normally when I have this initial reaction, I have spend some time with the bourbon and get to know it. I have a bottle I will be picking up this weekend.

Forgot to say I also tasted the latest ECBP (132). I gave it a quick taste - needed to watch my intake so I could drive home. My initial impressions were it was similar to the second release (137). I'll have time to taste this one as well - bought some today and will pick it up tomorrow.

Poured a 4 finger W12 while watching the CMA's. I'm about to give up on this CMA deal though, because country music sure ain't what it used to be!

An '04 ER 17. As silky and luxurious as ever. I get why this is always my least preferred on the yearly BTAC rating scale, but at the same time, I don't get why it's my least preferred ... It's a superb whiskey, IMO.

Some ETL and followed up with the penultimate pour of my only WT8 I've ever gotten my hands on. Just awesome stuff

I think I'll have some PHC 6th edition 4th dump and then some 4RSmB...and maybe a small pour of PHC 4th edition.

Some W12 out of a low level bottle, all of the sooty flaws are gone with only a rich supple wheater remaining.Strikingly similar to Lot B,hmmm weird wonder how that can be.
