I got my first bottle of high aged rye today (Saz18). Sure wish I knew how much I liked in in 2012 when I passed on VWFRR and many others. Alas, such is life.

Surprise, my planned single pour of Rare Breed led to some TPS JPS 18 D-54 and now some SB blend, all of it tasting wonderful. Spinning some vinyl too, love nights like this.

I as well am enjoying some pours of ETL tonight... glad to be headed out of town this weekend to where I can pick up another bottle. This one hasn't lasted long!

Getting into 'relax mode' with a nice pour of ECBS on the 'rock' (single 2.5" cube). It's amazing how tasty I find a 137 proof pour!

The last time I was there, the bellagio had it at the high dollar video poker bar. If you go sit at the bar and put some money in the machine you can probably order a glass and they'll comp it. I'll leave the ethics of that up to you.

Didnt go for the Hirsch. Went with a huge pour of WLW and it was amazing. They did have the PVW 15, 20, & 23 but ive tried the 20 and really wanted to try the WLW. It was everything I like in a bourbon - high proof, hot, and a fantastic finish. It lasted me through the whole dinner and was an excellent pairing with the steak. Best bourbon experience Ive had to date.
