I finished last night with some SB blend (W12:OWA 2:1) following EC12. Not having had the SB blend for a couple weeks, that pour last night instantly reminded me of how amazing the SB blend is regardless of the different ratios I've tried.

I think I will have to have some more of that SB blend tonight.

And now for something completely different.....a pour of David Nicholson 1843. NAS BIB wheater distilled by HH and bottled in St. Louis (Luxco). $14/750. Basically Old Fitz in a different package. Not bad for the $.

Cracked open a 9yr WFE. Lovely pour. Old Dusty, your feedback was dead on. Closing my eyes I taste WLW.

Celebrating a job offer with some Four Roses Yellow Label....i know i know, doesn't seem like a typical "celebratory" bourbon, but thats what a college budget gets ya!

Having a pour of Jefferson's Reserve right now. This bottle's been open for a while. Tasting pretty good tonight.

Having some 2013 FRLESmB. As another SB'er recently told me...."the 13 is just a sultry pour"

Did a WFE tasting tonight. 6, 8, and 10 year. All nice barrels/bottles. Great stuff. Capping it off with an SA VOS 11.

Celebrated the Sox winning the title by enjoying a healthy pour of '87 Old Fitz BiB. Tasty, tasty.

...then I donned goggles and sprayed champagne all over the living room.

Tonight I'll be trying my first ETL single barrel. From a hand-selected barrel by the knowledgable folks at Market Square in Tallahassee. Looking forward to it.

Thanks! It was actually my first dip into anything Four Roses and I liked it a lot. After this bottle I will probably try out the regular SmB and SB, so I can compare. The knowledge here is first rate!

Did the same only with AAA10yr - but I took the champagne outside (and it was cold out there ...) !

Why the heck would you spray it around the room (or the great outdoors) and waste perfectly good champagne/sparkling wine? Blue collar millionaire ballplayers can do that because they probably don't know any better!

Make some Seelbach cocktails and celebrate with some style!
