Sipping on some 2013 OFBB. Very tasty tonight. I've been waffling about this one but I think I would pick up another one if ran across it.

Lil ORVW 107 watching my Cats struggle early on.

the 2013 version? If so quick comparison to last couple of years-beyond the interesting new presentation of course.

Nah this is from 2011 maybe?

I had a 2012 and a 2011 that were marked accurately on the bottom...if you haven't already checked yours.

Stiff pour of SB blend. And then some more. Ever add two newly licensed teenage drivers to an auto policy?

I don't drink on Tuesday. But it is. 11/12/13.

So on 11/12/13 @ 14:15 I had a drink (OFBB) with my wife. Then a pour of EC12, now PHC 7th.

Moved onto some Blanton's SFTB (sample courtesy of a friend!). Much better than the standard offering. Never have picked up such intense caramel notes on the palate before, but really digging it!

Not bourbon but since there's no similar thread in the Other American Whiskey forum, I'm having some Mellow Corn tonight. Simple stuff but I really enjoy it. Sure can't beat the price. Can't get it locally but it's cheap enough to be able to have it shipped here by the case.

Had some temperance trader, sourced bourbon produced in Oregon, tastes like MGP to me. Think I will follow it with a bit of Stagg Jr.

Had some VOB86 and now moved on to some OGD114. Mmmm...all tasting really good:)

I've been to Barton a few times and they've always poured VOB86 and 1792 for the tasting. Each time I was surprised at how much better I thought the 86 was compared to the 1792.

Tonight I'm having the last pour of a WT Tradition. Outstanding whiskey

sipping on some WFE's tonight. First an 11yr at 59% and change with lots of sweet fig and now on an 8yr wheated at like 65% that I haven't enjoyed off the bat, but like more as it opens up.

DOH! Sending up a prayer for the safety of all transportation vehicles (and passengers . . . and curb-side mailboxes . . . ) in your neck of the woods :)

Last time I was out there, Spago in Ceasars had most of the PHCs and some old Rittenhouse 25. Also check out Delmonico in the Venetian, they had an impressive selection as well. Enjoy, I'll be out there in 2 weeks, don't drink it all.

Yes, a three year old company selling 4-6 year old whisky is sourcing their product, that and their mash bill matches one of MGPs standards. Nothing wrong with that so long as they don't over price it.

I notice some NDPs say they will be replacing the sourced product with their own make eventually. I wonder if they will change the brand name as well since the whisky will taste different.
