Phil T
We were doing a haunted pub crawl in Savannah last night. One of the places we went to was O'Connell's. Their specialty was a pickleback. Irish whiskey with a pickle brine chaser. Absolutely delicious.
jeffrey r
Sample of Vintage 17 - somewhat of a letdown, too much hype after it was discontinued. Solid overall pour, but I don't plan to seek out a full bottle.
Old Lamplighter
Gone back to the Bulleit 10 I opened about 10 days ago...and which I was initially a bit disappointed. However, some air time seems to have touched this one up pretty darn well...much better the 2d time around. Still trying to decide what to cap the night with....leaning toward opening one of the 4R privates in the bunker.

393foureyedfox
Dickel 9/103. Same impressions as before. The nose is definately odd, and I can't begin to describe it. Initial taste is similar to the nose, but with a 'sooty smoke' profile. However, the lingering aftertaste is very long and quite pleasing. Not sure it was worth the $45, but has me curious enough that the next time I'm at the store, a Dickel 12 will come home with me to further experiment with Dickel and TN products.I wanted to try the JD Holiday the other day, until I saw the $50 price....at Sams club. I wonder what that goes for at regular stores. One of my friends LOVES JD and EWB. Ive never tried JD of any kind, but have no interest other than the few that aproach 100 proof. the Holiday at Sams was 98 proof.
HighInTheMtns
Four Roses tonight. Started with the P&M OBSF, moved on to SmBLE13. Might have to go to SBLE13 next, seems to be the trend. The P&M selection was very enjoyable, great job picking this one guys. Thanks to a great SBer for the sample. Small Batch LE is just an amazing whiskey.
