Yesterday and today started with WLW12 and GTS12 both so good. Will do a Saz18-12 later than maybe THH09 if I have to.

Second half. FYI the THH was literally opened since 09.

Some more 1792 Rigemont Reserve tonight. Trying to get into this one but honestly not digging it, it's a little too hot.

It's been years since I've had any, but that's what I remember about it. Only bought the one bottle.

Old Taylor from '92 here. A good, easy sipper.

It may be due to a failing on my part but I've never developed an appreciation for 1792.

We are now into Deep Dive mode with Thanksgiving Day prep, and a few bourbons will be needed to get me through. Stagg Jr is the first grease on these squeaky wheels...As I sit here looking at a touch over 30 days left in this year, I certainly think that this whiskey should receive consideration for Bourbon of the Year. Ain't sayin' it should win, nor sayin' it's my choice. But, it's in the hunt. BT did well with this one.

Sipping some FR 125th. Not working tomorrow. Indulging tonight. :-)

Sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whiskey and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind but falling in love and not getting arrested.

The last of a dwindling bottle of WT8 in preps for Turkey Day.Really it is a shame of how the profile has slumped in the past decades,WT8 is far from their best and yet is just a damn fine whiskey.

SB 50/50 Weller Blend. Thanks to whoever thought this one up. After a few tastes I'm really happy I signed on here :)

Sort of spooky pic of Michters. Is that a ghost of a dead bottle in top left of your pic? And floatie ghosties in the pic? Sort of like when ya shoot the family photo and later find a black cat in the foreground and ethereal face in the window.

Some flurries blowing around outside, I'm sitting inside with some Dickel 12 and some Hendrix on the headphones, and two more weeks of school to go. Things are looking up!

Working towards the end of a bottle of bulleit ten year. A pretty decent whiskey and you can tell its really four roses.

Variety night, started off with a couple pours of RB12 (I know it's not a Bourbon), had the last two pours of 4RYL, and then a PHC7 for a nitecap.

The PHC7 is really growing on me. I just might have to pick up another bottle.

A friend had a bottle of Canadian last night - Gibson's 18 year old. Never heard of it. Said he got it for free, but it was supposedly a $75 bottle. It was okay, but nothing special - would never pay anywhere near that much for it. I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I just don't "get" Canadian whiskey, they all seem rather bland to me. That ultimately didn't stop five of us from putting a huge dent in the bottle. Finished up with some 4R SmB.

I like Gibsons but find the flavor definitely in the middle range, even for a Canadian. Won't stop me from drinking it though.

Ultimately the only thing that stopped me was the need to drive home safely.

Variety night, started off with a couple pours of RB12 (I know it's not a Bourbon).

I was invited by a new acquaintance to stop by and have some bourbon. It turns out the "bourbon" was Seagram's. He prefers it with 7-Up. Trying to be polite, I casually mentioned that Seagram's isn't really bourbon. He says that is "just a technicality." Fortunately, I managed to squelch the temptation to lecture. But it took an inordinate amount of will power.
