MyOldKyDram
Watching UKbball, having another pour of HHSS. Exceptional whiskey in every way. It's almost two pours in one for me, w the cognac taking center stage at BP, and the wheater side coming to the fore w a lil water. Remarkable. JVande
OWA '04 - All I can say is, from what I believe this Bernheim distilled bourbon tastes almost exactly the same as some of the last S-W produced. Kudos to the master distiller during the transition from S-W to Bernheim. Sadly, I can't make the same statement for BT.
dcbt
Damn near 70 degrees today but have chili going in the crockpot for a chili cookoff tonight, sipping on the patio in the meantime. Had a pour of GTS earlier and now some EC21. Chili smells good through the open windows!

tigerlam92
ETL early in SF at my little cousin's place. Wow, really liking this. Stocked up with four this morning.
smknjoe
Michael, the WC is , after much sampling of available and discontinued wheated bourbons, my exemplar of the style in terms of proof and age. If I could get a BT wheated readily available at 10/100(or even 10/107) for around $30 I wouldn't need other choices.

Quantum
I am not drinking ELT, because I did not buy it by the case. Luckily I learned my lesson while there was still plenty of VOB BiB 6yr available, so I am pretty happy with this right now.
GaryT
Lovely "welcome back" pour of HHSS this afternoon, before finishing up with some Stagg Jr (after giving it a more serious taste, I'm respectfully dropping the "bambi" moniker).
JVande
My previous experience with ETL has only been gold wax. It's great, actually to me, identical to current Blanton's. I tried a gold foil ETL for the first time on NYE side by side by Blanton's, and ETL disappointed.
JVande
Have you opened that gold veined bottle? I need a sip or two if you have.:cool:Not yet. I am about to go stare at it though...
smokinjoe
Feeling like something different tonight, so pulled out an Old Charter 7yr BIB, distilled in 1964. I always enjoy this pour, and at times I think I even prefer it to my beloved OCPR SS. It is a very candied bourbon, full of butterscotch and candy corn. So viscous and thick on the tongue it's almost syrupy.
393foureyedfox
went to a nice dinner with Mrs. Foureyedfox. Not much of a bourbon selection, but they had regular KC. I hadn't had the regular in 9 months or so, so I chose that one. Quite an enjoyable drink, especially with the size the bartender poured!I asked what the well bourbon was, and he smirked and embarrassing said, "ten high". I saw that conversation replay several times in the 45 minutes we sat at the bar waiting for a table. Who keeps Ten High as the well 'bourbon'? jtexaslonestar
Enjoyed a pour of OFBB '12 while making duck soup. Now a nice dessert of FRSmB 125. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk
bourbonfoot
I did some SBS of Larceny and OFITZ BIB (neither is a great bourbon IMO, but the Fitz shows it's youth in comparison). Afterwards had some EWSB 2004, 2003 and 2002. Now moving onto some 2013 Lot B. I haven't seen as many dissenting opinions on this as I have the 15 yr, but I really think this is a top notch buy at MSRP (long live state controlled stores!). Red One
Scanned my open bottles and noticed that my High West Rendezvous Rye was down to one (generous) pour. It's sitting in my glass now.
jeffrey r
One kid asleep, one kid upstairs watching a movie, and the wife packing it in early. Me, diving into Breaking Bad the final season, and enjoying a healthy pour of ETL 15 Year. One healthy pour left--deciding if I am game, and if I am ready to send this gem to the recycle bin for good. matthewdc
My wife and I went over to one of her friend's house to drop off dinner--they just had another baby. The husband had a small and pretty basic bar. However, I did notice a bottle of Willett. A 18y #8550! Needless to say, I was blown away! He said he had gotten as a gift about 2 1/2 years ago. It was a definite treat to try. The nose was really nice and just great vanilla, chocolate, wood notes. Sweet syrupy goodness...
