A Jackie's Selected 4R1B. Quite on the spicy side of this brand. And, nice on a cold day here, Down South.

WT Rare Breed in a Glencairn with just a spritz of water. Very, very nice on a -10 degree eve. I have a local that has 3 or 4 left at $33. I think they might get them all bought very soon.

Decided I wanted some Makers 46 tonight. So, cracked one open and now it's in the glass. Been a while since I've had this and it's tasty.

My last pour from a bottle of VOB BiB 6 y.o. ... this is only my second bottle and both improved with air. As a side note, only 3 left in the bunker and unlikely I'll ever find more in these parts, so I need to push those to the back for a bit ...

My cold weather cure tonight is a healthy pour of Mellow Corn on ice. For whatever reason corn whiskey just puts me in that warm weather state of mind.

Dusty-ish Thursday: EC18, barreled 4/30/90. Haven't had any in awhile. A bit woodier than I recall, though good to have again. Also, trying to convert a scotch-y friend at an establishment tonight: had him try Blanton's, OGD, and ER ... he still went and ordered some Quinta Ruban, then tried the new-to-him JW Platinum (I tried some; I liked the finish).

Needed to counteract the cold weather with something warm and Old Grand Dad fit the bill.

I agree.......OGD 114 tonight it is!

been a while...... what a great lingering aftertaste. and the smell is like someone stuffed a slice of rye bread into a glass then soaked it in bourbon. Im not a fan of rye bread, but this is a nice smell

at a weekly cigars and bourbon get together with friends, had a sip of kirkland 7/103 just to match my memory of the beam signature from last night, followed with a small pour of WT 101, and finished with Wathen's SB. At home now after dinner and contemplating a pour of something barrel strength... Going to go with Stagg JR.

Some 4R Private, then ET Lee once I saw the bottle on Justified. Finishing with a Weller SB blend before calling it a night.

Finally opened up my seven different FR BS recipes that I had on hand. It was tough, but I was able to get through them all and choose my favorite. Hopefully, I can collect the remaining three and do a full tasting of all 10!

Been traveling for work all week and have been having mainly beer and no bourbon. Just finished a pour of Booker's from the hotel bar earlier tonight. I sipped this pour really slow because it was like $18 but had no other selections I wanted to sip on. I really enjoyed this pour much better than prior Booker's experiences. Wonder if it's the low level of this bottle. The bottle probably have 2 last pours in it. I definitely enjoy this much more compared to KCSB. It was full, rich, sweet, and wasn't even hot. It was enjoyable down to the last drop.

Yeah I thoroughly enjoyed my 2002. It's still on the shelves at Seattle area Total Wines if you feel the need to get more. :)

Was eyeing some this weekend but decided against it because I have so many others I'm trying to get to right now......which means I'll regret it later.

Went with the trusty ETL tonight. Bottle is getting low. Good thing I bought a backup right before "the shortages" hit.
