Last night my wife asked me why I liked Four Roses so much, so we sampled the standard offerings, 2013 LE SB, and a BP OESV.

I think she was looking for a shorter answer at first, but it made a pretty nice evening.

curious........was she asking as just a general question, or does she not really like it and asking why you do?

She was relatively indifferent, and didn't see what the fuss was about. I think the higher proof single barrels are starting to win her over.

Some Old Heaven Hill 8/86 - need to take a trip to the in-laws and see if I can find one more before they are gone for good.

My Wife's making Chicken Caesar tonight, so I'm thinking some Dickel Rye will be in order. Then maybe some Stagg Jr for dessert.

Just back from karate and freshly showered - relaxing with a WT81. Nice and mellow for a work night while doing some revision!

Knob Creek again. One of the few I enjoy neat. While reading Gone with the Wind. My much better half finally convinced me to read this book. So well written. Now I understand why it is a classic. Lot's of whiskey drinking in this book, too.

Snow Jam '14. My family and I completely avoided Atlanta gridlock, so I'm celebrating with a pour of 2007 WLW.

Old Scout SB 7yr at 60.5 ABV. This one I picked up a few over the summer. This is my last one just opened. Forgot how delicious this was. Excellent

Started with some CEHT Small Batch, keeping it in the family and following up with some Stagg Jr (watered down just a bit).

I enjoyed a couple pours of WSR paper label while converting my office closet into a liquor cabinet. Not incredibly complex, but this stuff goes down so smooth.

Took me 3 hrs to get home, normally a 15 min drive, had to walk the last mile and as I was walking up the hill I watched an Escalade slide into my wife's Mustang that I had drove to work in, the weatherman had said we wouldn't get any damn snow

Well at least she had strong pour of Larceny waiting for me but she isn't real happy about her baby

For the season finale of American Horror Story tonight (a "finally it's over" moment for me, a "waaaaa...when does next season start" moment for my wife), I'll likely start with some Dickel Rye (quickly becoming my just-got-home-from-work standard) followed with OWA. I'll keep the 'spensive stuff for the return of Walking Dead next month.

Victim of Snow Jam '14 - took me 3+ hours to go under 10 miles to get BACK to the office, and then stranded there overnight. Walked carefully to the nearest hotel with a bar and enjoyed a Bookers neat to celebrate that at least I wasn't stuck in my car all night.

kentuckians cant drive in the snow, and we are used to getting a few snows a year. I can only imagine what traffic in GA is currently like
