I wonder what you southern guys would do with actual air temps of -25 degrees without wind chills factored in and two feet of snow on the ground that is here in WI.

Victim of Snow Jam '14 - took me 3+ hours to go under 10 miles to get BACK to the office, and then stranded there overnight. Walked carefully to the nearest hotel with a bar and enjoyed a Bookers neat to celebrate that at least I wasn't stuck in my car all night.

In Houston, some people were sent home from work when the temperature hit 33.

the final fatty from an Ezra 7/101 bottle. pretty good, but I dont plan to replace it, as I have a whole case of HH6BIB that I find very similar and 60% the cost.

A small pour of EW 1783 - not as substantial as the OHH 8/86, but more refined/balanced. Maybe try a SBS if I get up the energy this weekend. Sorry to hear about the bad weather down south and the brutal cold in the Midwest. Around here, winter hasn't decided what it wants to be yet. It is colder than last year, but much less snow.

Enjoying some OFBB 2012

I was going to go this way but I only have a one healthy pour remaining, so I am now enjoying a private selection EC12, not GBS-caliber, but enjoyable nonetheless. I will finish the OFBB '12 as a salute to the exodus of the snow in the next day or so AND add the bottle to the other four I have for the mosquito/pesky bug prevention per an idea from Smokinjoe.

I am having my first pour of dusty Tom Moore BIB from 1992. This may be the finest $7.50 bottle of whiskey i have ever tasted.

Partaking in a little SB blend while watching Justified on the DVR. I always like this one but boy is it hitting the spot tonight.

This is a great dusty pour. I have a 1.75L open and it is quite tasty IMHO. :toast:

Positively enjoyed the WT 101 on my Southwest flight from Sacramento to Orange County. I may not have had a current WT 101 since my last Southwest flight, but it was dang good. I may have to pony and invest in a bottle upon my return trip home to Jawjuh.

Joe, WT101 is my go to in small towns and otherwise poorly stocked bars, its always good, and my staple pour as well on Southwest.

Tonight though I am at home with a well stocked bar! I looked at my 30+ open bottles and dialed in on OGD 114. Very nice!

Second night in a row for a neat pour of Smooth Ambler's Old Scout - the 7 year.
