Brisko
Positively enjoyed the WT 101 on my Southwest flight from Sacramento to Orange County. I may not have had a current WT 101 since my last Southwest flight, but it was dang good. I may have to pony and invest in a bottle upon my return trip home to Jawjuh.Joe, will you post your thoughts if you do? I've taken WT to task a lot on here, but I've never been disappointed with the 101, until just recently. It was not horrible, but it was not at all what I've come to expect from them. either. Flyfish
Blanton's tonight. Trying to kill this bottle and it's taking me forever. Need the shelf space.I know. I know. It's a real struggle to kill a Blanton's, isn't it?Just curious, though. What is the bottle that is so special that you have to empty a Blanton's to make room for it? bookman
I was born/raised in SE Michigan, so the cold isn't an issue for me as long as I know it's coming (layering isn't rocket science LOL). But when roads aren't salted/plowed, and everyone else drives really slow - the snow turns into a sheet of ice. I've seen ice storms in Dallas and Atlanta unlike anything in Michigan, because in Michigan everyone doesn't freak at the sight of snow, and they have the trucks to take care of it.Yes, ice is very democratic; enough of it can put the nimblest of us on our backsides. I think Eskimos would have been impressed by the difficulties in places like Atlanta the last few days.
kjbeggs
Last night was my second go-round with Widow Jane 7 Year, followed with a little Elmer T. Lee (That bottle is almost gone, time for that new release to hit).
Auracom
More ECBP/EC12 1:1 vatting. It is infinitely drinkable, dry, and sappy. I could legitimately use the rest of my ECBP 137 bottle for this blend and have no regrets. Edited January 30, 2014 by Auracom

What is the bottle that is so special that you have to empty a Blanton's to make room for it?I do like Blanton's, but I don't get excited about it or look forward to it like others so I don't go to it often enough. It should do more for me at it's price point.I have a small and humble bunker but there's a 4R 125th waiting to come up to the main shelf.

Flyfish
ETL tonight and loving it. Used to buy ETL in KY. In 2011, Weiland's in Columbus had it. This month, my local merchant began stocking it. Made a special point of saying how much I appreciated having ETL available locally. It'll only be a couple days before I go back for another bottle. There were six bottles on the shelf. Will be curious to see how many have sold in the last 10 days or so. On the one hand, I hope most are still there so there is plenty for me. On the other hand, I hope there is enough interest from other bourbon lovers to justify him restocking regularly.

Creggor
Ok It's January 30th 2014 and Today it was rainy and chilly outside for S.W. Florida.. I have recently started to buy Bottles of what I feel are some of the better bourbons available today.. I only have some much room in the cabinet where I keep my open bottles.. My sealed bottles now totaling 26 bottles are in another location.. Anyhow I needed to make room for a new purchase I wanted to try sometime over the next week or so.. I had about 1/3 of a bottle of OWA 107 and E.H. Taylor Small Batch so I blended then together.. I had a nice taste Neat and it was actually very good.. Not something I would normally do. But life is a Journey and I figured what the heck..Have some fun and enjoy.. Creggor
