GaryT
Some AAA10yr, along with some attempted "improved" AAA10yr ala Ralfy's method. Result: Don't fix what ain't broken. Nose on the "improved" one was more interesting, but only marginally - and on the palate, what jumps to mind is "confused". Glad this experiment wasn't on a large volume! Paddy
Couple of enjoyable pours of RHF while out with friends last night. A good way to end a long, tough work week. Already wondering what may be in store for tonight?
tigerlam92
Started early. Two good pour of SB blend on ice. Yummy. Now on the first pour ever of a JPS 25. I like it. Not woody at all and quite balance. Very smooth, nice nose, flavor and complexity and finish. I was sipping it (while typing this) but finish a good pour in minutes. Really enjoyable. Will spend a little more time and let the initial airing take effect. I'm going for a second pour. Guess I like this. Red One
Sipping on the last pour from a bottle of Hirsch Small Batch. I think I'm going to have another pour of Stagg Jr. next and see if I can find the sweet spot with a bit of water. Too hot for me neat.

B.B. Babington
Henry McKenna 10 year BIB single barrel and really really enjoying it. Comparing it to George Dickel 14 yo and some other sips and finding this McKenna to be better than I remembered. Been a long time since sipping McKenna. Wondering if maybe got hold of a better than normal bottle so going back to get more off the shelf of the same barrel # just in case. No, not getting a case. But maybe get some other barrel numbers for experiment. I'm enjoying this one a lot...and at $23 bottle, this might be my new favorite... at least for this week. mbroo5880i
I have too many open bottles so I have been working to empty a few before I open new ones. I swayed from that strategy tonight as I opted for a Heaven Hill night. Started with Evan Williams SB 2003. It was a great opening pour. It was very spicy with a cinnamon, vanilla profile. Very similar to EC12 but with a lot less wood. I then moved on to EC12. Just a wonderful bourbon! This one was a store select version so it was a single barrel. Moved on to an EC12/ECBP pour. At 115.5 proof, this blend is probably as close to HHSS or one of the higher HH products as I will get. Very enjoyable. So much so, that I opted for a second.I hope everyone is have a great evening! 393foureyedfox
Thw wife's family took us out for her b-day dinner, and I opted to give MM46 a try. Ive thought MM was kind of pedestrian before, but this was a step up. A strong caramel nose to it, and a long finish, I rather enjoyed it. As I say about most things though, it'd be just right at about 110 proof. I'll consider getting one of these and a Larceny with the rebate soon. Paddy
I agree Fox, the 46 is a nice step up. I had a nice three finger pour of ETL while watching the move "42" tonight. Both were very enjoyable!

JPBoston
Took a trip up to Flagstaff so the kids could play in the snow.... on the way back, stopped for gas and picked up a shooter of JBB. Was much more enjoyable than I remember the last bottle I had. I had pretty much written it off, but maybe I'll give JBB a few more chances soon.
