Tony Santana
Poker group at my house last night, I had a good array on the counter. Personally started with a HW American Prairie Reserve, which I think is really good stuff. Then a little RHF, decided to polish off the dregs of a bottle of Glenlivet. Others were sampling various things - the most popular pour of the night was the Redbreast 12 Cask Strength. Everyone who had it was enthusiastic. Yeah, I know, not bourbon, just laying out the facts.
TunnelTiger
Last night had nice pours of OFBB13, ECBP batch 3, 4RSmbLE13, and 4RSBLE12. Winners all but for some reason the 4RSB12 really stood out. Maybe because it was last in the tasting line? Wish I had more of this.
Quantum
I love ETL as do many others here. I get a vanilla ice cream/cream soda drizzled with caramel flavor with some spice on the finish. Admittedly, I haven't had a pour of it in quite a while though. I've been too busy going through samples and new acquisitions to spend much time with what I've dubbed "Old Faithful."This is a pretty spot on description. It doesn't have a lot of big bold flavors, which makes it a little harder for me to describe. It makes me think about drinking cream soda with scoop of vanilla ice cream in it, and it reminds me of the way our kitchen smelled when making caramel. The flavors aren't heavy, but they have some depth. It took a little while for this one to grow on me. I enjoyed it whenever I drank it, but I would usually pass on it for something more exciting. It became one top three bottles to keep on hand, shortly before it disappeared from shelves.
flahute
Just suck it up and make the label go vertical. ;-) I feel your pain though. Sometimes it takes a while to finish off a bottle.
whiskeyagonzo
I really wanted to! However, an early start today with two client meetings called for being responsible and going to sleep early.

J-Brew
Decided to do a tasting tonight of a few different bourbons: ETL, RR90, ER10, and Few bourbon. For me, the ETL comes out as the winner, followed by the ER10, RR90, then far back the Few. The Few is really hard for me to even finish (bitter, grassy, and just not good to my palate). Gillman
Stagg Jr., sampled at a local beer bar. Excellent whiskey, soft and rich despite the huge ABV. I softened it with a splash of water and it was even better.Gary Edited February 22, 2014 by Gillman

Richnimrod
Finished off a low-fill bottle that's been naggin' at me for weex.Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, '12 edition.Really hated to see it go. That is one well produced spirit. Right up to the edge of it's sweet spot. :drinking: Wouldn't want it a minute older; but neither would I change it any other way.... Well; other than drop the price back to the $mid-thirties of a few years ago.... And this year it went up another fin!
