Trey Manthey
Just sharing my bottle of HHSS with my mama. She's starting to become quite appreciative of different styles of bourbon, and this one really knocked her socks off. I knew she was legit when last time she was over she requested "some of that Stagg whiskey."

Nothing better than seeing your parents get that twinkle in their eyes after trying something that expands their horizons. I'm getting into a second pour of the forthcoming VBT, after watching the Patriots get their butts kicked. Couldn't be happier. That's right, I'm from New England and I loathe the Patriots. tigerlam92
Started with my first ever SB blend at 60:40. First try today after it mixed a couple of hours. Quite good but still a little sooty. I think I'm going to like this but we'll see. While watching the end of the Denver game. Going to ETL while getting ready for the 49ers game. Day two on this. I think SB blend better than ETL actually, maybe.
petrel800
Opened a bottle of Leopold Bros Maryland Style Rye for the first game. Second game has me back upstairs in the living room, egg going with a spatchcocked bird smoking with some 12yr OESK and half an ice cube. This was a great pick by Jackies, needs just a tick of water to open it up.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
flahute
Some Lot B for the Seahawks game. This bottle has opened up quite nicely since Christmas Eve and I'm enjoying it a lot.

mbroo5880i
SB blend again. Really good for me. I wasn't a believer until now. Good one on its own right. It is great stuff! I like it better than the individual components. I normally just mix, let sit for awhile and then drink. Some folks vat it in another bottle and little it sit for a while, I wonder if that helps with the sooty taste you note?

I usually mix a batch of 2:1 W12:OWA, a 3:2 OWA:W12 and then a couple other different variations of smaller amounts to let sit. That way I have a few variations to choose from depending on mood:)

Memphis
Started sipping Weller Antique107, then '13 Stagg, and now some '11 Stagg. Crazy how much more the '11 is bringing, even though the level was around a 1/5. Great stuff. So much deeper, slate rock, barrel, mmmmm Edited January 20, 2014 by Memphis
