Wow! I love the wall behind it too! What a cool looking place! I definitely would have to go in with cash only and leave the plastic behind, oh and have a DD or taxi waiting.

Hardwater does look great. Some very value pour but most are grossly expensive.

4RSmBLE '12 is $12

OFBB '13 $5

ER17 '12 $15

ECBP was reasonable $12-15 for how it taste not against retail price though

But

GTS $30

FYI - AHH 16 $150 lol

The 1 oz pour is so small! I am not sure it is correct actually.

It was quite fun. But last time I went, two shelves crashed down. Dinner suspended and canceled for the night, no big deal for us. Credit card machine didn't work either took over 45 min to get our check. They didn't even do it until we said we need to catch our flight.

I love concert sipping. There is a venue in Minneapolis called First Ave. My buddies and I see great national touring acts for $20. We set up on a balcony, tip our waitress huge so she pays special attention to us after the first pour and then proceed to have doubles on the rocks of our spirits of choice. I tend to sip on some Makers in these situations. We always get a hotel a few blocks away so there are no driving concerns. It is one of my favorite things to do a few times a year.

EWSB 04. I still find it bitter, but a good hoppy beer alongside seems to cancel out much of that, and a good caramel sweetness remains. This one is going to be my Winter beer back bottle, methinks.

Happy to see the racing season start. Finished the ER 10 bottle with a pour while enjoying the Rolex 24.

SB blend. Really liking it. Been my daily pour this week.

Stocked up on my OWA and W12.

My first bottle of OWA took me four years to get down 1/3 and in the SB blend, the rest disappeared in a week.

This blend is good with ice.

Hugh, if my daily pour had been VSOF from the 50's-70's for years I think I would let a bottle of OWA languish at the end of the line too!

I noticed First Avenue on my way to a Twins game during my first trip to Minneapolis this past summer. It looks like a fantastic venue! I'm definitely going to try that next time I'm up there, nothing goes better with a good show than some bourbon.

RRSmBSB and WT101 60:40 or 70:30, I wasn't really measuring - but something about a good splash of the 101 in the RRSmBSB and it becomes much more interesting to me.

Fire in the fire pit, a cool evening of about 50 degrees and a 4 oz pour of OGD BIB. Havent had a relaxing evening like this in a long time.

Just back to frozen Hoosierland from an Island filled with good rum and crap bourbon. Thawing out and getting back to America's Native Spirit with a nice pour of Weller 12.

This winter... Four Roses Small Batch, Four Roses yellow label, Wild Turkey 101, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Elijah Craig 12, Larceny, Eagle Rare 10, Buffalo Trace, Knob Creek.

Also tried this winter: Fighting Cock, Jim Beam Black (cashews!), Virginia Gentleman (yuck), Woodford Reserve, Maker's Mark.

My favorite so far... Wild Turkey 101! I love the vanilla and oak/leather notes. To my surprise, it's actually smoother than Eagle Rare or Elijah Craig. Price is amazing too. If only I could get a 1.75 of Rare Breed or Kentucky Spirit... both are twice as expensive since they are more premium and only come in 750ml.

Unfortunately in Northern Virginia, there's not many Wheaters available other than Maker's, Maker's 46, Larceny, and I think I saw one bottle each of PVW, and WLW. As I'm still a real newbie, I'm trying the bottom and mid-shelf first.

4R sB followed by McKenna 10yr and HHSS. Great way to relax after shoveling a lot of snow.

KCSB.

quite similar to the Booker's I had last night, often they're hard to tell apart unless they're side by side. either one is a good night

Old Fitzgerald BIB from a gallon jug bottled in 1959. So, so good. It has a light ashy earthiness that I haven't tasted in anything else.
