Brought some Larceny over to a friends last night. This might be one of the bourbons my opinion varies on most pour to pour. Last night it just wasn't doing it for me. Moved onto some EWSB 2004, then an EC12 private selection, and finished with OFBIB. Keeping it HH last night.

Eagle Rare 10 YO and Buffalo Trace. These are my 'go to' favorites.

I have not tasted Pappy, but have never found any other bourbon I like as much as Eagle Rare!

Cheers,

Bookers 25th out of this generic-ass 4R "Glencairn" that Dan gave me. :D

Hope it serves you well Sean. I will pick up a couple more the next time I'm at the gift shop, but I still wish they had gone with a better quality glass. I guess as long as they keep making great bourbon, I will let it slide.....just this once!

Watching an absolutely beautiful (but unwanted) snowfall with a pour of ETL in hand.

Beautiful, unwanted, and crazy unexpected. But yes, most of all beautiful.

What a bizarre winter. Think the Commonwealth has almost had it worse than us(although we set a total snowfall record). It's clear and a little crisp watching a beautiful sunset in Indy sipping on a Willett FE 8 yr.

Just finished the last of a bottle of Westport ER10 single barrel #162. One of the best ER10s I have had. I really enjoyed this bottle. Thanks to Gord (theglobalguy) for the heads up! I would recommend this to anyone in the Louisville area. I know they still had some a few weeks back.

went to a dual two-fer birthday party for a couple of friends, and there was a small assortment of bourbons. Had some:

KC maple for the first time (not bad, but too much maple, to the point of being syrupy like a liqueur)

Basil Hayden for the first time (my friends wife's favorite.....not my cup of, uhm, bourbon. might be decent if not 80 proof)

Old Forester 86 ( I dont even bother trying this one anymore)

ETL (pretty nice, especially the lingering aftertaste. it is my friend's favorite)

Fighting Cock (I always like this one. good, but not great. seems hotter than 103 proof would be expected.)

This is mostly a wine drinking crowd, and the few bourboners are usually Forester and Early Times drinkers. Always glad when my best friend shows up to the same parties, as he brings better stuff.

Having some some ORVW 10/107 after a wonderful stress free day of Tannerite and slinging lead down range.

OFBB '13. Sadly, there's only one pour of this one left. Back when I bought this, I didn't know better to stock up.

Try some OGDBiB or OGD114 instead?

Yeah, then it would be like, hmm, Old Grand Dad.

If you ~doubled the age....

I don't think the age difference is that great Joe, particularly with the 114, but diluting the BIB and 114 to 80 would make for an interesting tasting session with Hayden.

Having a couple more pours of ETL tonight. I am liking how this bottle has opened up. I've been sipping on too much high proofers and finding a few days of this ETL is refreshing.

Really enjoying my handle of BT. Been probably a year since I've had some, and the leather/spice vibe is something you don't get in many other bourbons.
