DrBob
A third bottle of EWSB 2004 barrel 188. Not sure its representative of the vintage, but it is really good.
jtexaslonestar
I got a belated b-day gift of OFBB '13 from my brother and in the nick of time, too. The mail around here may be delayed after the impending winter weather, but it will be whiskey time in my house! bourbonfoot
This appeared late last night via Florida from a recent vacation by my parents. I think I was the only one thankful they had a day of rain, so they could check out a couple of shops. Cannot wait to crack these open this evening for a "little taste". GTS was $100 an Lot B was $80. I know that is a bit over MSRP, but this is the first chance I have ever had to get my hands on any BTAC or VW products.Nice find! Hope you enjoy!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Paddy
I made the mistake of venturing into a local establishment today and found that I could not overcome the allure of good value pricing. I picked up a standard 4RSB, EC 12, WTRB, age stated VOB BIB (x2) and a Willett FE rye. Although I needed nothing, after tax I was out the door for $150.50. Once we learned of their demise, I had no intention of pursing the age stated BIB's. But there they were for the taking, even after the recent run on, and it was either that or the good ole' #6. Also left two on the shelf for good karma (1 pulled to the front and 1 hidden in the back).
sdchap00
Picked one of these up today. After cracking it open I wish they had more. 9yr, 125 proof wheater. Yummy It's quite good. Younger than WLW, but a nice, full-strength wheater nonetheless. As I was telling Bing earlier today, it's pours like this that make me crave a Weller 12 at 107 (or even 100) proof. We can all dream, I suppose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heck if it helps with current supply issues I'd take younger-but age stated( say 8 or 10) Weller at 100 or 107 and they can mothball the 12/90 (and scrap the WSR) until supply catches demand. tanstaafl2
Picked up the Bowman Port Finished bourbon over the weekend which seems to finally have made it to town at the end of last week although it seems to be pretty scarce. Might be a good evening to try the prior and current version in a SBS to help weather Blizzard Mania 2014, part deux. The original was an 8yo when all was said and done but spent 8 months in the port barrels whilst its older brother was a robust 12 years old but spent only 4 months in the port barrels. horn1602
Picked up a Bookers 2013-6 ($60).As an aside, asked the 'whiskey specialist' at the store about ETL and he said they'd have it in the store in March. Couldn't speak to price, quantity, etc. We'll see.
Jorgemu1
Initially went looking for something I saw two weeks ago but of course it was gone. Luckily, I was able to pick up an A.Bowman Port Finish and Gingerbread Beer Finish so I didn't leave empty handed.
Bluffhunter
Was looking for some BT but to no avail. Picked up some WT101 for $22; about $5 cheaper than other stores was in. Guess BT is losing sales with their shortage.
