BTshorty
Ah I LOVE Promise of Hope. I was told they have quite a bit of it as well. And yeah it's about $20 more than I have paid at Otto's and Discount, But they'll have it for awhile and I like it enough to pay a bit more for it.I got the stagg jr at Avenue. I've seen it go for $80 at Discount.I used to make excited bi-weekly treks down to Discount, but got discouraged by their $1200 pricing of a Pappy 23. For a distributor, - shameful I thought. BTshorty
Got these today but I think I have the flu so they're just taunting me Picked up a bottle of that a couple months ago ! Haven't popped it yet, but I'm getting impatient....
elmossle
Managed to grab a bottle of Stagg Jr. for $51 today. Looking forward to trying it. Not sure if it is an old release or part of a new one yet. It is 134 proof if that helps in answering the release question. I am guessing $51 isn't too over price right? emr454
Picked up a store selection FRSB today. Label states it was bottled at 8 years and 9 months of age. This is definitely in my top 5 bourbons!Eric
bourbonfoot
Picked up a Bernheim single barrel for the VA ABC that I passed up last week. Typically when I see one I'll see them in a couple different stores, but this one I've only seen at the one I picked it up from today. Can't wait to give it a go. 393foureyedfox
stopped in a place today looking to see if i could find any of SA's Old Scout stuff, and came up empty handed. But, try as I may, I could not stop myself from grabbing a 1.75 of Larceny seeing how it is $19.99 after the rebate. Thats just stupid cheap and something anyone can enjoy.I havent had any since last years rebate, and thought it a bit mild for my tastes then. But, my tastes have mellowed a bit since then and at that price Im happy to give it another shot.In another place, I saw HH6BIB with a regular shelf price that was cheaper than their own sale price of gold HHBIB. made me wonder if it'd soon be on closeout and stirred my fears of it being d/c'ed again. Damn good price on it, it was hard to resist, but I managed....for now Edited February 19, 2014 by 393foureyedfox

No_Reception
Yeah. That bugged me as well. But alas I did purchase 2 bottles there after 3-4 mos of boycott. What's funny is that before this year they were fair with the VW stuff. I used to pick up 10 year off the shelf there not too long ago.I used to make excited bi-weekly treks down to Discount, but got discouraged by their $1200 pricing of a Pappy 23. Last time we did OBSF and OESF.Sounds good. I have some OESV that I got from the GS and it's quite complex and has a nice long finish. I need to try the F's next. I have one on deck...
