Picked up another ER10, one of the last 2 bottles left in store. Tried some from a prior bottle bought a week earlier and it was fantastic so wanted another from the same barrel hopefully and before prices took thier normal hike as local store still had listed at $25.

Found a store with a supply of age stated VOB. I left with a family-sized bottle for under $20.

A kind fellow SBer directed me to a store in the NM town where I'm on vaca, where he (correctly) predicted I could try Taos Lightning (LDI/MGP) Rye before I bought some. I was floored to find this store also has store select 4R SB BP (OESF at 10y/3m)--floored b/c I've never seen any of those outside of KY and Chicago (much less in TX). I picked up two for myself and two more for two other SB members. And, they were only $40/ea!naheqera.jpg

ETA: I caved and bought the TL b/c, while only 90 proof and sourced, I just don't see 15 year ryes every day, and the mini size made it an inexpensive experiment. Looking forward to opening some of these tonight!

Have recently picked up a couple Hirsch 22 ryes (including 1 today from a fellow member), a Hirsch 21, a V21 rye, and 3 Saz18s. I guess it's overcompensating for screwing up passing up on so many ryes a year ago.

Incredible purchase of the finest ryes, Stefan!! We are so envious.

PS - May be more appropriate in the rye purchase thread.

Cheers

I immediately thought about trying to move it but Tapatalk has stumped me.

Maybe a mod can delete?

A bottle of OC 10 year and my first bottle of Smooth Amber Old Scout!

When it was BOM I had asked one of my dealers about it and he couldn't get it but he didn't give up and now it's going home with me.

Looking forward to this tasting.

I went to pick up some BT, but I stumbled across a couple liters of OC 10 for a few bucks less. Not a bad deal overall.

I know the OC 10 year is only 86 proof but at $12.99 it is an easy sipper and makes a great Old Fashioned.

dSculpt, did you find those in Wisconsin? I haven't seen them in any stores around Madison yet.

If you make your way to Discount Liquor in Milwaukee anytime, there were two on the shelf as of Monday. I'm sure they'd hold one for you if needed.

Thanks Tyler. No Milwaukee trips planned in the near future. I may be able to coerce my daughter into making a trip.

Got one of the two non-reserved Booker's 25th from the local ABC. Not for myself, for my brother who has his first kid being born next week. I hope it's a good one!
