Yeti
I did hear about some changes taking place at FR. They are going to start charging for the tours and you will get to keep the FR Glencarin after the tour/tasting. Not sure when this will go into effect or how much the tour will cost, but wanted to give a heads up.Do they finally have glencairns? It's about time. I'll be happy to take a few tours and rack up some glasses in April and September.

P&MLiquorsEric
Enjoy those world wide stouts! I had it on draught at a restaurant here and loved it, but when I asked about it in a local beer shop, I was laughed at...apparently it's hard to find in bottles. jtexaslonestar
I went out of my way and grabbed a Stagg Jr. and an Old Fitz 1849. I grabbed the OF1849 off of the shelf and paid. Well, the store owner moved to his right to bag up my purchase and that is when I saw the Stagg Jr. lonely and all by itself by some half-pint vodkas, so I bought it on a separate transaction. Probably impulsive and selfish, who knows it might have liked the Stoli-Absolut threesome. But now its hangin' between the FRSmB '13 LE and a Barrel Proof FR1B, I am sure the ol' chap isn't complaining

393foureyedfox
didn't buy it, but.......a classmate today gave me a 50ml Blanton's.After last semester's finals, half the class went out to a bar. I was sitting there talking to some friends with a Booker's in hand, and this classmate walked up and started talking to me, and was obviously ahead of me in having some drinks. She asked what I had and I told her, and I asked if she'd ever had it to which she replied 'no', so I offered her a sip. Next thing I know, the glass is upside down as she downed it. She was feeling no pain. When this semester started, she apologized for that.....I thought it was rather funny, but she was feeling bad about it. Today, she gave me the Blanton's 50ml in a nice gesture.Ive never had Blanton's. Tonight will be my first!
final442
It seems as though the distributor in NY is going through their 2nd allocation of Sazerac Co products. Got a call from a store manager and picked up a PVW15, GTS, and Saz18 today, was a pleasant surprise.

suntour
those three OGD minis that looked suspicious were sitting too long on eBay, so I had to grab them. I figure, worst case scenario, the whiskey's no good, I'm out $10. They look cool enough.
