I think I'm alone when I say I can't stand larceny, hated it and really punished myself until the bottle was gone, even mixed it with eggnog to stomach it

I have an unopened one I picked up in KY a couple weeks ago. I remember liking Larceny quite a bit when I tried it before.

Other than the PHC4, Larceny is the only HH wheater that I like. Brought back a bottle from Toddy's while at the Sampler.

I think for $20 it's worth revisiting larceny, hoping my palate has changed and can appreciate it..

Grabbed an OGD 114 and a lightly dusty FRSB 125 Gift Box with the glasses. I think these were on the shelf during the holidays? Happy to find it for $35.

I maintain this is the most underrated releases of the last 2 years. Don't doubt that the 92 proof has held it back on the popularity scale but fine with me. One I do agree with on Jim Murray who among other things says "A high quality, stunningly adorable whiskey, pulsing with elegance and personality. Every drink cabinet should have this wonderful new addition to the bourbon lexicon". Now if I only had the discipline to ever send in those rebate coupons .

My family sized bottle cost me $36.99, then after rebate (as long as nobody from HH is reading this thread and busts me...:D) of $20, It nets out at <$17.00. A great deal! Regardless, when they eventually drop the rebate offer, it won't slow down my buying of it. The thing I like about Larceny is that it is a very drinkable whiskey, without being bland or boring. For me, it is on the drier side of the wheater spectrum (ala MM), but still maintains the sweet plump juiciness of a good OWA, while also introducing the age and oak of a Weller 12...but without that ones astringency and sootiness. It's a damn thigh high fastball, inner half, and I'm looking for it...:yum:

That's the same reasoning I used on my second bottle. Wrong!!!

I can get on board with me. ;) I brought a bottle out during a party last year (4th of July?) and it was emptied faster than any other bourbon I've put out before. I liked it and so did my non-bourbon geek guests.

I contend that I am HH's single biggest customer of Larceny, as I have again reloaded with another Family Size bottle...:D. Now, you know the reason why they can't attain full US distribution of this, yet... However, I'm a little ashamed to admit that I have used more aliases than "Fletch" in order to get the rebates...I'm going to try John Coctostan, next...;)

I bought two 1.75's a few weeks ago, to do the rebates on. Then, I noticed that this year's rebate is only for ONE bottle. oh well, still a good deal. Had I not bought them at the same time, Id have just tried your idea of multiple aliases....

My first take on it wasnt so hot. I didnt buy any more for some time. For a gathering, I chose to buy a bottle for my lower proof liking friends, and ended up liking it myself. Tastes change

used to like OFitzBIB, but the last one of those wasnt too enjoyable, though I really like Larceny now, despite the lower proof than OFitzBIB

The BIB is fine for proof just IMO too young and raw. The Larceny is NAS but supposedly 8/9 yrs old. That extra time in the barrel puts it in my wheelhouse. And I won't pay the premium for the 12 yr VOF. Everything else wheated that they make or produce for others is young.

It was a very Four Roses kind of day. Grabbed some private selection single barrels from a couple stores: OBSO, OBSK, and OBSQ.

Stopped by a local retailer today. Occasionally speaking with the owner. Today he came out and offered me a barterhouse, thanked him for being generous, but explained I wasn't all that interested. Even though I didn't need it, I picked up a bottle of his 4RSB selection since he offered me something from behind the counter. Didn't really need the bottle, but felt I needed to show some appreciation.

I must confess that I bought a bottle of Knob Creek Smoked Maple today.

I'm so sorry.

Have a store by me that is closing and clearing everything out. So I picked up a Jeffersons Ocean (2nd addition). Figured what the heck.

Found my first bottle of RHF today. Picked it up based on what I've read here.

 I'll confess - I've thought more about it than I should. I've made bourbon-infused maple syrup a couple times, and it is amazing (and it seems like this might be a shortcut of sorts).

Picked up another Weller 12 and was gifted a Rock Hill Farms and a Private Selection FRSB 100 proof. Not a bad day!

A Smooth Amber 8 year store select. So far these guys have never disappointed me. Patiently waiting for some of their own aged distillate.
