I guess three is company as I did the same today as well. The other bottle of LE looked lonely sitting there all by itself, so I figured it could use a familiar face to keep it company.

Wasn't even planning on looking yesterday, but practically stumbled across what seemed like some good deals - 2 bottles of ER10 with the "10" still on the neck, for $22, the new higher proof WTRB for $33 and OGD114 for $20.

Great price on the ER10!

Was out of town all weekend . . . that being said, right before I left, my buddy who came back from Germany last week gave me a Blantons export for watching his dog. Originally thought it was Blantons straight from the barrel, but a closer look revealed it's the 80 proof version. None the less, it will make a good summer pour here in GA. I also grabbed a ER10 on my trip to have something to drink and share with the family.

Recently I went out searching for ECBP and ETL. I didn't find either. It's actually kind of fun. If a salesperson asks if they can help you, just ask "do you have ECBP or ETL?". It all ended well. Close to home, I picked up Rock Hill Farms and Stagg Jr. (at MSRP). I had wanted to try both eventually. I knew that RHF was BT mash bill #2. It reminds me a lot of ETL, except at 100 proof. I'm just getting into the Stagg Jr. I think I like it.

Don, you get 5 bottles, everything from fairly low priced to limited edition high end stuff - but lament you didn't pick up that 6th bottle. Sounds like someone I know (from looking in the mirror). We've got a sickness - what's it called, whiskycollectitis nervosa?

I know I had a momentary lapse of reason, good thing is I don't think they are going anywhere fast,..SO...I"ll be back! BTW also saw 3 bottles of ECBP @....$58.99! yikes!

Found 2 bottles VOB 6YO--the real thing--at Dornan's in Jackson Hole. Bought both. Mrs. F. said, "Great! You can drink the WT."

On Saturday I found store picks of George Dickel 9yo and 14yo, which I hadn't seen in Massachusetts before. I only bought the 9, but now I'm thinking of the 14.

I blame you, Fox... :)

seeing all the "Got my FRSB2014!" is hurting me. Happy for you, sad for me. I'm sure I'll live :)

Picked up a 4RSBLE. Also grabbed a 1.75 ER10 while I was there along with some Jack Rudy Tonic Syrup. A little something extra for a great store.

Based on the conversations around OGD114 I broke down and picked up two more bottles for $27 each. It's pretty scarce around in my area so I bit the bullet. When I asked about getting any more ETL regular my guy told me that his MA distributor allocates 6 cases of BT product per month to their accounts due to demand. He has to pick and choose which he wants so he can't keep everything in stock. He's told them to float any leftovers his way no matter what the brand and he'll happily take them. Another comment he made was Four Roses is now controlling the allocations of the FRLE's as opposed to the distributors. He suspects that is tilted to favor those in the barrel program.

Wandered into a BevMo to kill a little time between meetings and ended up leaving with the last ECBP they had and a McKenna 10 year.

Wow we bought the same thing today. ECBP and McKenna 10 yr here as well. This is my first time with ECBP...it is amazing. I took a small taste of the McKenna (also a first) and wasn't too impressed, maybe it will grow on me though.

I've found with a couple bourbons I don't care for them until about 3-4 pours into the bottle and they start to grow on me. EC12 and 4RSB come to mind.

I picked up a bottle of Elmer T. Lee and Four Roses Single Barrel LE 2014 today.

Took some effort to get that FRs. Hope it's good.
