flahute
I accidentally walked into the feeding frenzy that I believe the former two posters are speaking of. I was unaware this business was going on, and just happened to wander into the store after having brunch with some friends as I was passing through Louisville. I did what I almost always do in Kentucky: looked for unloved scotch in need of a good home. Snagged a Springbank 12 CS, which isn't available in Maryland. But it looks like y'all were having quite the party in the back room.Well dang! Quite a haul the three of you had. GTS this time of year?!? Super score.I picked up Parkers Heritage PoH x3 today. This has become a favorite of mine, and there was one store in the city that still had some left. I questioned myself for buying 3, but, I reminded myself that once it's gone, it's gone. This one is not coming back. I'll thank myself a couple years down the road when I still have this one available.
HD 335
A very nice surprise popped up while I went to a local shop to buy my dad a bottle of scotch. I literally did a double take and stood by the locked case to flag someone over ensuring the bottle wasn't going to be snatched up by someone else. My favorite bourbon was just sitting there out in the wild, a Four Roses 125th Anniversary Small Batch, bottle 182. I have one tucked in away in the bunker and 4oz in a small bottle left. Now I can safely open another one soon knowing I still have one more. Plus the price was very reasonable at $99.99!
PaulO
Like I really need to buy anything . I had revisited some of my recent bottles, and decided I like Stagg Jr. ok. Maybe I'd get another bottle, just to have an unopened one. Rock Hill Farms on the other hand, turned out to be exceptional to me. The bottle seemed to really open up after I had a pour and it sat a few days. The bottle has a 12 on the bottom, so assume it's from 2012. I went back to the store and picked up the other two bottles they had. Even at MSRP, a little pricey for me. If BT does release more, you all know the situation (especially with the higher end brands).
ModernThirst
I'm assuming I was at the same frenzy in Louisvilel that others were, at WW&W. I didn't get there until 5 minutes before they opened, and found myself a solid 40th-50th in line. Still, I managed a ECBP (5th series) and Stagg Jr, which I'd been kicking myself over passing on earlier in the year. Chris said there were four bottles of GTS, along with a handful of pappy bottles. Obviosulym, they were Loooong gone before I ever got there. But it was a fun experience nonetheless. (One of the ECBPs was already on my bar)

Small Batch and have been savoring my last bottle.Yes, I was quite gleeful seeing the bottle there. Another reason I went there was to check if they put out the 2014 FR SiB for you since I don't believe they sold them yet. It seems this store doesn't always put out all the special releases right away. Random bottles just pop up every so often since I picked up a 2013 FR SiB earlier this year. TunnelTiger
Just another bottle of EWSB03. Inexpensive, great taste, and still readily available.
tanstaafl2
A new cask strength SAOS just hit town. An 8yo bourbon weighing in at 107.8 proof. I had a small hand in helping select it and really liked the sample so I hope it is just as good now that it is bottled. Early reviews are that it is all we hoped for but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. A new Devil's Batch is born...

tanstaafl2
So Bruce, is the state of distillation listed, or do we have to contact Wade.. I didn't even think to look. Not in any of the pictures I took but the left side of the label isn't visible so I can't be sure. I will check later and see if we need to assemble the shock troops! jonhalter
Found a family size Old Forester 100. Its not something I have seen locally before so I grabbed it for 32.99. Im not a huge fan of Woodford but Im assuming this will have a different profile.

kcgumbohead
WTRB, the 108.2P version. I love this bourbon and the one I have open is nearly empty, decided to grab another before its all switched over to 112P. I really hope the incoming version is like this 108. If in fact the proof went up due to the barrel entry proof being raised that ain't great news for the flavor per all the info I have seen here on SB, just going to hope for the best. kcgumbohead
That was one suggestion but not confirmed as far as I know. Cautiously optimistic about the 112 but I wasn't about to surrender the 108 with out 1 more bottleit's been quite a while since I had the 108 WTRB, but it didnt make enough of an impression on me for a repeat buy. the new 112 WTRB I plan to continue buying. it's only 4 proof points anyway.....is there any factual basis about barrel entry proof being raised?
