Hadn't picked up anything since the Sampler, but I found a FR2014SBLE to keep the vertical growing. Also managed to bring a Kenwood SAOS 8yr into the fold.

Same here. Picked up ECBP batch 5 and Rhetoric. Opening the ECBP as soon as the kiddos are in bed but saving the Rhetoric for a rainy day.

Like John I picked up the same thing. In fact we happened to be in the same store at the same time and I think we pretty much cleaned out what little was left with our bottle each of these two!

Just couldn't resist at least trying the Rhetoric before deciding whether to blow it off. A little more than the Barterhouse which I find to be a decent deal at MSRP for a 20yo even if it is a bit watered down.

The ECBP Batch 5 was just a bonus!

Same here. Picked up the ECBP batch 5 and Rhetoric. Cracking the ECBP as soon as the kids are in bed, setting the Rhetoric aside for a rainy day.

Made the mistake of taking a trip to the liquor store. Well, actually, it turned out to be a good visit. First, I saw the stack of FR OBSO 104pf that I have a bottle of, and like but don't love. Then I saw another stack of FR that I thought was more of the OBSO, but glad I looked. It was a new barrel of 118.8pf 9yr 3mo OBSK at $48, which I grabbed a couple of bottles of.

Then, in addition to the usual suspects like BT and EC12 barrel selects that I am well stocked with, I saw a new stack of Henry McKenna BIB barrel select for $25. I like regular McKenna BIB, so looking forward to trying this barrel select.

ECBP 5th release. Came and went in MD quick so I was lucky to score one. Cracked it open to share with the store owner who has always been good to me. Also shared some OESQ from the FR gift shop since he has a barrel of that coming in soon too.

If it is local (to Indy) and you like it, let us know your thoughts. I have really started liking EWSB. I have had a few different years but they have all been store select (Crown, Liquor Barn, Cap N'Cork). I would think they still match the overall EWSB profile for a given year. I bought a distiller select at Costco in Fort Wayne last week and noticed that the Costco in Indy has it in stock now. It is $18.99. I suspect distiller select means they put the retailer's name on the label but it is the standard stuff.

The bourbon gods shone on me yesterday!! FR barrel strength finally arrived in MI. 2x OESO, 2x OBSO, plus a store select BT. Yay!! :grin:

I was out late roaming the streets last night. Came across some old label EC12. It's my understanding that the label changed in late 2011 or early 2012 judging by the layer of dust I would wager that they may have been there a a little while longer. Either way I picked up two of them. It's hard to beat for the price. Cheers.

After only hours earlier swearing I wouldn't buy anything other than our FRSBs and some special fall release items, I walked out with an 8yr SAOS store pick. I blame the dealership, who has had my car for 6 hours (and counting) and gave me a rental. I mean, what am I supposed to do with a rental car on the far side of town (other than scope local package stores)?? Plus, the guy let me try a taste in the store which completely sealed the deal (even if it didn't taste as nice as it did, I likely would have picked one up just to acknowledge the free sample to a non-regular; although knowing Bruce helps!)
