Two bottles of Leopold Small Batch American Whiskey to celebrate the birth of my second son, who is also named Leopold. Picked up the Maryland Style rye too. Really excited to try both.

Just got back from the Indy 500. Great weekend, but driving through KY always seems to set me back a few dollars.

On a side note, BigRich and SmokinJoe, I grabbed these candies at the Amish store on the way home, I'll bring them to the next GBS get together.

As for the Willett barrel numbers are 730 and 733. 4eyed, they're liquor barn selections. All that being said, they're both 7 years old, very similar proof at 119.2 and 119.3. The killer was they were 69.99 a bottle which was expensive. I was about to walk with just my OBSV from LB, but my pregnant wife said, "I really like Willet." Rather than being a bourbon dork and explaining the cost vs age, value, where there from, not the same as the other Willet she's had, I shut the you know what up, agreed to wait till the baby came to open them and took her suggestion to buy both.

I suppose I can provide a report on how they taste in November. So I'm not going to be of any help on how the taste unfortunately.

Passed through Kentucky the other day, picked up OGD114, FR SmB, and CHET BIB. OGD114 has to be the best value in the market today.

i dont know what he paid for it, but its routinely $21 here. I am amazed TX guys are finding it cheaper. Seems the extra shipping would raise, not lower, the price.

I got a bottle of the WFE 7 year from Liquor Barn in Louisville for my partner on the website today. I expect he'll review it, though I'd prefer he share it with me first.

I balked at this one. Didn't grab one for myself.

I picked up a Single Oak Project, Barrel 124. I looked it up and saw that it was wheated, so I figured I would give it a try. It was good, but certainly nothing that warrants the price tag.
