jfarr63
Probably the smoothest bourbon readily available. This one is what I call a perfect bourbon for bourbon and non-bourbon drinkers. Bourbon drinkers can enjoy the smooth finish, while non-bourbon drinkers will not find a single bid of the spice or bite to complain about that is found in other bourbons. GAbiker
I've never had any complaints about Blanton's, but firmly believe that RHF is a better bourbon, and ELT at half the price is just as good.
km1589
Picked up a bottle of this today. Honestly I can say it was because of the bottle itself and the fact it's all over Justified and well with it being the final season of Justified I couldn't help myself
GreenEggsandMash
I think I pick ETL each time in a standoff because it wins on price up here by about $20, but every bottle of Blanton's I have opened has been a standout. I just poured some Blanton's Gold tonight after getting back from a funeral, and it just was so smooth and perfectly balanced.

GeeTen
Blanton's is my "go-to" bourbon for family & friends (1 opened and 3 bunkered). It's now selling for $40.79 at our Total Wines in Natick, MA + NO tax! But that was our Grand Opening Price, too. Don't know how long that's going to last . . . HTH, F. 8-)

Already did -- working on #2 and have three (3) in the bunker. That should hold me for a while (even tho' I bought a new-issue 3yr Willet Rye for $41.99 OTD yesterday -- yum!). Bbstout
Do all Blanton' s come with the box wrapped in a bag?

robertckim
Still hard to find Blanton's in Las Vegas. It's not sitting on any shelves for sure.

Each case of 6 bottles has 3 (two corners on one side of the case and center position on the other side of the case) bagged and boxed. The other 3 bottles have this plastic netting thing around them, but no bag/box. Some people don't care as much about the bags & boxes as they do which letter/horse is on the stopper. georgemoe
Fairly new here (couple months) and while I had decided to stay the course of lower priced bourbons to start and work my way up the ladder, I bought a bottle last week at my local store. Still have not opened it and will more than likely save it until Christmas Eve or Day. I still have a lot of lower priced items to buy so not sure what compelled me to buy. Maybe it was because of only two bottles on the shelf and had not seen a bottle before in the store. Reg price was $52 and I've been staying at $30 or under. For now I'll drink BT, WT101, and RR, which have become my favorites to date. Hope I can wait. Boy this is a fun new hobby.

Why wait Crack it open now, it is amazing stuff by itself of course, but also so many good opportunities for SBS tastings with what you have. See whether the extra $ was worth it! Maybe you love it and start experiencing bourbon at a new level. Or you find it meh, save your money, and live a normal healthy adult life unlike... some of us. Either way you win.

Blanton's was brought up and he asked "How on earth are you not able to open it?" I'm going to be tested for sure.
