393foureyedfox
Another night with Old Ezra 101. Generous pour to start the evening.me too. I think my loss for words for the finish on this one may have been met. ever notice how something can 'taste like something else smells'? If youve ever had that happen to you.....I think OE101 tastes like a HH rickhouse smells, and theres not much that has a more enticing smell than a HH rickhouse. Tony Santana
The curling season has started again, brought a bottle down to the club to share. My first ETL in a while, tasting it made me wonder why I haven't cracked open a new one in a couple of months. The others at the table who shared it liked it too, and they're not regular bourbon drinkers.
garbanzobean
Celebrating the end of the week with a pour of JPS 21. I have to be in the mood for this, but it really does taste great when I want an old oaky vanilla/chocolate/overripe banana bomb. Some days, the bitter finish bothers me. Others, it glides down without a hint of it. After having it open for several weeks, I'm still not sure I would buy another, but I'll definitely miss it when it's gone. It's got a fairly different flavor profile from bourbons I typically enjoy, and offers me the thing I always look for in whiskey: A unique experience.Cheers to the end of another working week my fellow SBers! BFerguson
Simple pour of ER10. Had a glass of JPS17 last night, weirdly, I think the nose from the empty glass this morning was better than the pour last night. B
