393foureyedfox
Still couldn't get myself to grab a HH6/90 even now that the Six Year age statement has nearly dropped off the bottle. Suspect it won't be there much longer.
393foureyedfox
Is this a new label after the end of 2014 label that I saw somewhere here? Gosh, these things change quickly ? You got a pic of the newest ?
smokinjoe
Thanks. But I thought I remember seeing a later pic (Decemberish?) with the big 6 on the neck label, and not on the small shoulder label?Edit: yeah, there's a pic of this label in the HH BIB 6 yr Yowza thread. I guess that's the latest? Edited March 2, 2015 by smokinjoe
t44tq
Forged Oak @ $80. My pal at the liquor store let me know he had a couple in stock, but then said "But the people at Diageo are kind of douchebags, so I'm not really too interested in selling these . . . " Thought that was pretty funny. Had intended to pass anyway. Maybe at $40-$50.Eric,If you ever come up to Philly, let me know- I just recently bought a bottle, you're welcome to have a pour. amg
Stopped in a certain notorious chain store today just to see what they're stocking these days. Saw a private selection 100 proof OBSV for $79.99. I bet they won't run out of that one any time soon.

This chain also sells Baby Saz for $49.99 among other offenses.
Sijan
I've been out of the loop for awhile, so not quite sure where to post this, but I just got an email from a liquor store in DC with some VERY puzzling prices that I'll definitely be taking a pass on:Colonel E.H. Taylor Warehouse C Tornado Surviving Bourbon Bonded Whiskey100 Proof - 750mlOur Price: $849.98Old Forester Bourbon Bonded Whiskey100 Proof - 1 Liter2014 Release - Discontinued Distilled at DSP 354, Bottled at DSP 414Our Price: $349.98I get that the Warehouse C may be rare/limited, but how on earth is a 1L bottle of Old Forester Bonded worth so much more than list price? My understanding is that it was replaced by Old Forester Signature 100 proof years ago. OF Bonded is a desirable dusty. The price is still outlandish, but I think that "2014 release" has to be a mistake.

Richnimrod
Been passing on 'Colville' Kentucky Straight Bourbon for a while now. Curiously, during a bourbon tasting event for which I poured at one of tables, the second most requested brand of 9 at that table was the Colville. (Blanton's was #1.) Does anybody have any love for this unknown brand. ... Or any info on it? It seems to put up by or for a Florida NDP. I assume the fluid in bottle is some HH stuff. I tasted a small pour of it, and found young and unassuming, and under-powered at 80-pr.

Golzee
Jim Beam Single Barrel. I am a Beam fanboy...gotta have that funk. But I am only human and I will have to scratch the bourbon itch soon. Should I get the JBSB or the Jim Beam Signature 12 year?

They've dropped 'Ridgemont Reserve' from the name, but it's the same product. They're adding some others to the "1792" lineup as well: http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/showthread.php?22065-New-Barton-Bourbons
