Hitting the GBS OBSK . . . for no particular reason (other than it is some damn nice bourbon!) :yum:

had some HH6/90 while frying some habanero chicken wings, then some WFE 8 year to top it off. Out of curiosity, i looked at the bottle date on the bottom of the WFE and saw an '8'. How likely is it that I found a 2008 WFE in 2013?

after dinner, I went and cleaned the first 6" of snow off the cars and walkway. nearly 60 degrees yesterday, enough to just get rid of last weeks snow, and 6" in just a few hours now.....come on spring!

Had a sore throat for a few days, so I've been abstaining. Took a chance tonight with AAA10year - big mistake.

Last night went with 4RSmB, MC then EWSB....wife likes the MC more than I do. I guess its not bad for $11 but I'd rather drink EWBiB for the same price...the sweetness is too much for me.

Henry McKenna 10. Damn good. Read some up and down reviews but this store picked barrel is money. Great price $29.

Thought one healthy pour would finish off my bottle of VSOF. Like it's more like one and a half. Guess I'll have to sacrifice and finish it off tonight. The recycle bin goes out tomorrow. I'll do it for the environment.

crap day at work. came home and had a fat HH6/90, then sipped on an SAOS BP rye for a while. both equally enjoyable, but for different moods

Pinhook Bourbonize. This was a gift from a friend (and a generous one at that) based on what I think the price was: $75. NDP NAS...M..O..U..S..E. 90 proof. Smooth. Not an edge in sight. Mild and I do mean mild flavor. Some vanilla, on the sweeter side, and a hint of oak. Clear as a bell. It's like Whiskey Lite. Less filling...tastes bland...less filling...tastes bland. You're both right. It's less filling and tastes bland.

After shoveling 17" of snow off my driveway, sidewalks, patio, deck and porch I'm enjoying some HM BIB.

I've about had my fill of old man winter.

I'll tell you what: That 2014 GTS is no slouch! Best GTS IMO since at least 2010. Nice cherrywood like 2013, but much more complex than that one.

First pour of OF 1870 Original Batch. Oh boy.....just don't know what to do with this one. Has this weird cardboard flavor that I get from some of the KBD everyday brands. (Makes me wonder if KBD gets their distillate from Brown Forman.) I get a little Woodford in it also. I don't get any of the notes present in OF Sig. I hope "air time" works it's magic with this.

Saw you folks down in Ole' Kentucky got hit again. (See my post in Heavy Weather 2015) Y'all are deserving of whatever bourbon you choose to partake of.

Thanks Joe. Yes, 17" on the ground, and it was already flooding before this snowfall arrived. Predicting -6F tonight, so I've prescribed much more bourbon for myself through this coming Sunday.

-6!!!! Holy schneikes. I have't felt temps like that since we moved out of Ohio 8 years ago. You deserve some stellar pours.

In celebration of the weekend, and for no other reason, I will be pouring PVW15, HHSS#2 and THH. The duration of this event will be from approximately 6pm tonight until 11pm Sunday evening.:usflag::grin::falling:
