What bourbon are you drinking? Winter 2014/2015

Been trying to power through some OGD114 lately to clear the room for something else. I kept reading all the hubbub here about it, tried it, and I don't get it. Oh well, more for you guys.

Having some Four Roses Grand Cru PS OESK. One of the better picks I've had recently.

It might just not be your thing, but I'll say the last bottle I picked up didn't seem nearly as good as the several bottles that preceded it.

Both OGD114 and BiB have usually been consistent for me. Sometimes 114 is a bit hot for my taste buds though--kind of gets scorched-earthy.

As for tonight, I'm enjoying some basic WT101.

Had some of the store pick ER10 I found at Specs a couple weeks ago.

Really like this bottle, I'll be sad when it's gone.

Followed with some ECBP with just a few drops of water, not so sad about the ER anymore.

I was drinking ND-era BDL last night. I liked the nose (my wife detected ginger, honey and brown sugar) but the taste and finish left me kind of blah. I think I might do better to vat this with contemporary OGD 114, which is a combo I have found pleasing in the past.

I then switched to ND-era OGD to remind myself what I am really after in the ND stuff. Worlds better.

Had an Ocean 3, which tasted much better this time around than the first. Just cracked a new bottle of Old Forester SB. My first time with this one. Seems a little thin. Decent but overpriced at 40 bucks. These are just my first impressions and are subject to change.
