Well, it's not winter anymore. Not twisting your arm.

Relax Bro! Don't be so uptight on the timing. Take a chill pill. We'll get there...We always do!

There's actually nothing stopping you from making such a thread yourself, if you are so inclined.

I did not want to ruffle any feathers, you never know.

Nice buy! With the new packaging the price has gone up here but I really like the looks of that bottle. If the goal was to elevate it a shelf or two I think they will succeed.

Nice score. Only Willett bourbon by me is the pot still.

It's weird- I HATE the pot still "regular" Willett. I thought that stuff was nasty. But good barrels of WFE can be really, really good. I hope this one is one of the good ones.

I was with a friend of mine when he found a bottle of one of those "named" WFEs- even though it was way overpriced at $150, I would have bought it had he not.

Picked up a SAOS10, Forty Creek Evolution 2014 and a StaggJr#3.

I was at the same store, for their "Whiskey Madness" event. They had a raffle for several bottles they had limited quantities of. The first number drawn picked up the only bottle of MMCS, the second took a Jeff Ocean, the third a 750 of Weller 12. Finally, on the fourth draw, someone took the $79 bottle of VW Lot B.

I couldn't believe what was happening. I went 7th, and nabbed one of two bottles of ECBP. During the second round, with all the OFBB, Balcones SM, and Forged Oak gone, I settled for a bottle of Stagg Jr.

All whiskey was 20% off during the event, so I finally picked up a Nikka Coffey Grain Whiskey and a bottle EHT Rye.

Was happy to see SAOS finally available at this store. Helped myself to some samples, and would have bought a couple, but I've got a pretty good stock on hand at the moment.

Also good to formally meet BearMark and talk a little whiskey with him, although we had kinda met previously.

Great to finally meet you as well and to realize that we had been at some of the same events before. I thought the selections in the raffle were quite interesting as well (good summary, by the way). The Balcones stuff was quite popular with this crowd (congrats, Winston). I thought the SAOS stuff was the best deal in the store at 20% off and readily available. Anyhow, looking forward to another chance to talk at the SB Dallas gathering next month.

Found 2 bottles of Baby Saz on the shelf and picked them up for $31 each. It was the first time I've seen it anywhere under $50 in a while. Now I won't be so hesitant to partake in enjoying my open bottle.

We just returned from a spring break trip to TN, and added a detour to Bowling Green and Cox Creek at the last minute. Picked up OESQ and OESF barrel strength Four Roses, and 9 year Dickel at the distillery gift shop. The barrel select Dickel was signed by Allisa Henley, Distiller, but the 9 year had John's name on it, and his picture was still up.

My company contracts to do the official TV stats for the NCAA Tournament for CBS/Turner, and I've worked the tournament for 14 of the last 15 years, so I originally assumed that when I requested to do the site in Louisville this year that I would get it. Well, I was wrong. I got Jacksonville, FL instead. At the time, I was really bummed, because I had wanted to hit some bourbon-centric spots during my downtime while in Louisville and figured I'd be able to pick up some nice bottles while there that I can't find in the Durham area. I felt a little better when I found out that the Tar Heels would be in Jacksonville, but I was still a little bummed that my bourbon time would probably be a bit less fruitful.

So, on my first day in Jacksonville, I decided to search out a couple of liquor stores to see what I could find. At the first store, Total Wine & More, I had no luck finding anything that I can't get fairly easily at home that I wanted. I did pick up a bottle of 4RSB while there, since I knew I'd need something to drink while in town, but I can get 4RSB pretty easily around Durham. I figured I had time for 1 more store that evening, so I went to ABC Fine Wine & Spirits. When I first walked in and went down the bourbon aisle, I wasn't very hopeful. In the glass case, they had a BT Single Oak Project, which I definitely considered....then a bottle of Walking Stick, which I grabbed, since I've heard good things about it and hadn't seen it in stores before, but then....there they were....6 bottles of Weller 12yo, plus a 1.75. I put the Walking Stick back and grabbed 4 of the bottles of W12 for $30 each. I might have grabbed it all if I didn't know I had to be able to fit it in my suitcase. So, with the Heels moving on to the Sweet 16, and my bourbon find...I'm a happy guy this weekend!

Another SAOS 7 yr. What can I say?

say no more!

I went back today and grabbed two more of the same barrel of SAOS 8 year BP (barrel 895), since I have so thoroughly enjoyed my open one thus far.

with all the bourbon I have here now, I have set my goals on drinking through the stash while only adding barrel proofers to it, and these have been awesome!

Picked up a Bookers Big Man Small Batch last night just cause I saw it and only had one bottle of Bookers in the bunker.

Picked up a pope house OESK and an accidental overlap on my recipe quest, tannery bar's OBSF. If anybody wants to trade for an OESF or OBSO let me know, I'd love to swap.
