Grabbed 2x OWA and walked out happy. First I've seen it in quite a while.

The problem I've had with the HMcK is that it is so inconsistent from bottle to bottle. Some were fantastic and others just meh. Combine that with the price which is now $39.99 to $49.99 in my area makes it a simple pass.

Four liters of OGD 86 -- yes, 86 -- for $13.99 each.

Any chance of one of those showing up at the gazebo? :yum:

Eagle Rare (pre-label change) Want to do a side by side tasting. Right off the bat, the newer Eagle Rare is much darker in color.

OWA liter

I've got one of those coming in several weeks after a friend makes his next trip to Japan. I plan on sharing it with him, but I'm concerned that it might be a bit sweet for his tastes...

I opened a bottle of Blanton's STFB recently; I would not call it overly sweet. If anything there is a very savory (almost salty) character to it. Really fantastic stuff, and holds up well to a drop of water. My favorite in the Blanton's line.

I am now the happy owner of Elijah Craig 12 Year. I had a pour of it at a bar a few months ago, loved it, and it was a good time to get another bourbon in the house. This marks my second ever bourbon purchase (the first being a bottle of McKenna 10yr)

Hidden

Did a little side-by-side of EC12 and Forged Oak. They are remarkably similar. Except for price , of course.

Was it just me or anyone else a little surprised by the price tag for the Makers Cask Strength 350mL? It's $36 where I'm at. I couldn't imagine paying $72 for a whole bottle of barrel proof makers

Those Willett ryes used to be all over the place in Houston. I hope you got it for ~$38.

A little more, 45. I had grabbed a 4 yr (I think foil top?) in Houston for about your price earlier last year. Enjoyed it and that's why I went ahead and grabbed these 2 off the shelf. Up charged and a different barrel - we'll see where it lands.

Not a bad price. And if you enjoy that's even better! Can't go wrong with ETL either.
